Weekend Slaying Pigs In Sorghum #1

Went to help out a mate who had a pig problem in his sorghum crop. We hit them hard but still plenty left yet. Might have to go again soon.

Awesome stuff mate! We went on a hunt over the long weekend. Surprised too see the pigs where reacting to the olight and we had to put on the red filter. They where pretty switched on but still shot 22 was a great weekend !

See in last night's news feeds pig numbers in hundreds after rain. If ya get a chance try rabbit gut as lure for dogs when ya setting traps good results with that lure find last tail ends in gut works best fox count is up as well.

I actually wasn’t free hand shooting. I was using a tripod and a shooting cradle from eagleye hunting gear.

Semis don't make a shooter better. For the good shooter who can still pic their shots they are significantly better though. The majority of shooters on youtube show why semis shouldn't be used by them (so imagine what sort of stuff-ups are not filmed). They put a lot of un-necessary holes in the air, when by picking their shots they'd hit a lot more of the opposition. A few oz shooters dealing to mobs show effective shooting can be done without semis, although they'd get more with an accurate semi.

Yes A semi would come in handy but not sure if I can justify the extra price.

@@intothenight1993 Would potentially be worth 10-20% more if the common trend of expecting lead in the air to equate to better results can be resisted. Like few/0 inexplicable/rushed misses. It's still got to connect. The semi is excellent for running groups, you don't lose the target to reload so can correct a miss immediately. Also a bit quicker, & for big mobs, & for night shooting. The immediate readiness means chances get missed less. Used the sporting type semi .308 whenever really serious on larger deer or for eradication type jobs/commercial recovery. Was worth carrying the added weight. Since that Oz toerag got them banned, have used lever actions, & found them ok. Still use the bolt if inclined, they do the job & once familiar are still quick enough for most.

Re lost footage, I feel ya pain mate, I had a similar thing happen when I was filming 2 male Platypus fighting, I watched them for about 15min, I broke the recording every few minutes so that it wasn't one big file, all I ended up with was about 30 seconds of one swimming away when they stopped fighting. I was sitting in my kayak and could have touched them with my paddle I was that close. Needless to say, I was spewin that I didnt get the footage.

I use 55gr projectiles with AR2206H powder.
