Another great upload. I absolutely love your show. As an Australian-Chinese growing up and living in Australia, my Cantonese was very limited. But watching and listening to your show has improved my Cantonese speaking skill level a lot...👍👍👍

Stumbled upon your channel and have enjoyed a couple of the travel videos. As an ABC baby boomer your videos are great for me in terms of brushing up on some Cantonese phrases and words that I may have forgotten over time or may not have used that often. Hoisan hua was my first dialect as my folks came from the "Sap Yap" region. Standard Cantonese usage came a little later for me at around 6 or 7 yrs of age. BTW, Nei de goh gau, Z, zhen hai ho dah yee!. Definitely love your guys's dog, Z. Thank you for the vids.

Hi Brittany, British Born Chinese (BBC) here. I speak toisan dialect with my family so my Cantonese is quite basic. Watching your videos have helped me improve on my Canto vocab and sentence structure. Look forward to your next video 加油 👍🏼

SF! The hills on Hong Kong Island remind me of SF hills. Remember to curb your wheels when parking on hills. Also, you mentioned SF Chinatown being busy and bustling, but on a weekend pre pandemic, you find yourself walking on the street since the sidewalk is packed shoulder to shoulder. Also, you mentioned the neat buildings but didn't mention the Ivy covered house on Powell Street that you walked by at 11:29 😉 Too bad you didn't get to see the nightime lighting on the Bay Bridge 🥲 it adds to the ambiance.

I enjoyed watching you teaching/talking Jared Cantonese during your SF trip (especially the "Cantonese with Jared" part). 16:05 I don't like living in large cities like SF or NYC (but I definitely like visiting major cities) I also enjoy the improved thumbnails on your videos.

Thanks, we had a lot of fun making that part! He was actually pretty nervous to speak on camera since he’s still a beginner. And thanks for noticing the new and improved thumbnails, I’m still learning too!

Hey Brittany, thank you for sharing your trip to San Francisco. I have been watching some of your videos for about half a year. There are words I am still looking to learn even from past videos. Keep up with the videos and make sure to stay safe. If you ever visit NYC, make sure to try to the Chinatown in Queens.

Great job! I love your channel. I live in SF and am an ABC. It's great to learn more Cantonese from you to improve my Chinglish. For packing clothes - I think I tend to hear "pack luggage" as the common phrase in the Bay Area. This makes me wonder what the variations in common phrases look like in every area although it's all Cantonese.

Thanks for the nice comment! If he’s a beginner I would tell him to learn Jyutping, watch all the videos in my beginner playlist (watch each episode a couple times, write down new words), download inspirlang’s 50 free Canto podcasts and practice tones with feedback from a native speaker. And if he’s really ambitious I have some really good beginner resources on my Patreon (paid)! Hope that helps and tell him good luck!
