Many years ago, I was a waiter at a high end restaurant. jack asses like this were a pretty regular thing. We were in the Entertainment Book club back then. Each restaurant had their own rules about how the discount could be applied to the check. One night I had a table of 4 who had 2 cards to use for one check. Of course the 2 men had a problem with how the discount worked. One of the them started to say “I’m a lawyer........”, to which I answered, “And I’m your waiter” I had the rule page from the book in my pocket to use in situations like this, “And these are the rules for use of your card” and then I dropped the sentence that left everyone at the table cracking up, I said “And this lower amount, doesn’t include a tip, you tip on the original amount”, I shook his hand and walked away. I heard his wife laughing and say, “I guess he told you”. I saw them put cash in the booklet and leave. They over tipped and I never saw them again, thank god.
