Baby Pete! I am 5 years older but I was very here for his appearance on SNL. Even moreso that I lived half off the grid without access to TV unless we watched fucking american football at a friend's pad. When I came home in May of 2014 and saw him after he started I was here for it. Still am. Pete will be remembered after SNL is off the air...if it ever it.

I don't understand the people saying "old SNL was better than this crap" when, if you actually watched old SNL, THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT IT WAS!!! Offensive, shocking, sometimes gross humor! If this joke were done back then you guys would call it genius! But your hipster attitudes and close mindedness keep you from enjoying anything different or in this case something that isn't new, just done by someone different. This is funny, SNL is funny, it's a different kind of show now but that doesn't make it bad. Comedy evolves, it's always evolved, every season from the very beginning of SNL there's been people who say it's not funny. Every few years people say "old SNL was better". In 10 years people will say current SNL was funnier. So why can't people just be open minded to new things, if you don't like it, don't watch it, don't comment, and shut up.

not just that, old snl was also very very VERY hit or miss just like it was now with a ton of recurring skits that were run into the ground through overuse, the difference is we can look back on the good skits and forget the old so it clouds our judgement, snl has been the same as it ever has been, yet some years are better than others(the 80's are undeniably the worst years) but to imply anything really has changed majorly in structure or anything is simply bias speaking
