Haha I’m just heading out again. I’ve got over 300 cattle in the yards atm. Not wrong mate. I recon there would have been about 30 pigs in the mob!

I’m out shooting tonight in SW Western Australia, makes me want to head out immediately. Chasing foxes and cats, don’t see pigs on the farms I visit.

haha, I had a somewhat similar thing, I just came back from an unsuccessful NSW state forest looking for Fallow on the way out of the forest a feral cat just bolted straight under my tire.. spat.

Yes I don’t think I’d ever own a trailer without one now. They make towing so much smoother. All you feel behind is the weight.

Note from Florida. I had a rack on my atv handle bar to carry my rifle and the vibration ruined my scope. Would not hold zero. An expensive scope, too.

Could you get it replaced under warranty? They are built tough to be able to handle a lot of vibration when you shoot which would be more than what the bike would do to it. So you should be able to get it replaced.

@Into The Night Thanks for the note! Like your stuff. I bought the scope early 80s, a Redfield illuminator, my go to on a 30-06. Redfield went out of business in the 90s? I broke it about 10 years ago. Went thru boxes of ammo till I figured it out. I did find a shop in Oklahoma that repaired scopes and sent it there, not the same. Went thru another couple boxes of ammo. And pulled it off and replaced it. My experience with that scope and another is unless it's replaced with a new one, they're just not the same. If you're like me you get accustomed to something and makes you sick when it goes. I went to using one of those Kolpin? cases. Hard plastic, fits inside. Hope this helps.

Ever since I was a kid I'm obsessed with checking every dam and permanent body of water I come across for signs of fish and crays. I'd be trundling along pointing out 'signs' to my dad and/or uncles and they'd up me for ignoring the pig tracks I was standing on lol. Is old mate splitting the bounty on that dog with you? It'd pay for the fuel for the weekend.

It’s still only $30 per dog there but he said I could have them. 👍 but no it wouldn’t pay for the fuel as we used 1 1/2 tanks on the trip or about 120L

100% for wild pigs!!! I love a good pig hunt. But not for dingoes 😢

I like dingos and think they are incredible animals but they do so much damage to our livestock that they have to be controlled. But as much as I love and respect the dingos, I also love to hunt and trap them as they are so cunning and elusive. Trapping dogs is especially rewarding when you can get a cunning dog to put its foot on a 2x4” trap pan in thousand’s of acres of countryside. They are a worthy adversary that’s for sure.

I know Australia has a feral cat problem is the only time you can hunt them in the wild? How would you know it's not someone's pet if it is near where people live? Another suggestion is to make it so the cat can't have kittens so it the cat does get loose it cant make more cats that attack Australian wildlife. How does Australia have people with guns but have less gun violence than the USA?

There aren’t any other people living within about 6km. So if I see a cat on our place it’s most likely a wild cat and will be shot. A bullet is much cheaper than getting them fixed up. Also if you get it fixed up they can still eat things it shouldn’t. So you still wouldn’t have solved the problem.
