I miss racing, all our offtracks disappeared, now the few left have 6 slot machines. If only illinois could have done this before it was too late. My wife would laugh so hard when her long shots came in., especially when I told her to cancel and change her bet.

I miss Arlington so much! I hate that it closed!!! It always ranked as one of my top tracks to visit! You are so right though. Majority of racetracks are supported by Slot Welfare, Most tracks can't support themselves without the help of casinos. It is sad and frustrating for a game I enjoy so much.

@@Weekendhandicapper Although I think I may have to retire that stat for my handicapping. One, because it is technically not true, since Mandaloun was awarded the Derby win a few months ago with the DQ of Medina Spirit. Two, because for the second year in a row, the Risen Star winner has come in 1st or 2nd in the Derby (Mandaloun & Epicenter). I'm not sure what we can conclude from that crazy Derby, but I think it has to be that Epicenter is really good, and that Zandon is just a step behind him.
