The Weeki Wachee River Springs, a natural wonder in the heart of Florida, where crystal-clear waters flow through a lush, vibrant ecosystem. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is dedicated to preserving this precious resource, ensuring its beauty remains for generations to come. A Springs Protection Zone extending from the spring boil within Weeki Wachee State Park to the Rogers Park Boat Ramp was recently established. Through public education and responsible stewardship, FWC officers work tirelessly to promote sustainable practices and protect the environmentally sensitive area. Together with our partners in Hernando County, we can ensure its beauty is protected and preserved for continued enjoyment by future generations.
