Recently, after the resignation of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, St. Martin's Island has become a point of discussion. The reason behind this is the lease of the island to another country.
Let us tell you that St. Martin's Island is located in the northeastern region of the Bay of Bengal, which is close to the border of Bangladesh and Myanmar. This island is about nine kilometers away from the southern tip of the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf Peninsula of Bangladesh. Which is about 7.3 kilometers long and located at a height of about 3.6 meters above sea level.
In other section, Recently, the first case of a new, more dangerous strain of mpox has been confirmed in Sweden. This is the first case found outside Africa. This disease is most common in the Republic of Congo. In such a situation, after the disease spread from Congo to the neighboring countries, the World Health Organization has declared it a global public health emergency.
