I like the idea of setting up the dry ingredients for the overnight oats.

Your 3 bean chili is a staple around our house. Everyone loves it. When I am really in a pinch for time, I use frozen, chopped onion and just throw everything in and get it cooking.

I appreciate your including the calories in your recipes. I try to be 90-95% WFPB, still need to watch calories. A lot of people who say you can eat as much as you want, since it’s WFPB, are already at their goal weight.

For the ebook, I’d love all your protein recipes.. thanks for all that both of you do!💕

I am going to do a poll at some-point to the patrons and the other financial supports to help me pick 20 specific recipes to do this. I feel like an ebook is much more attainable than an actual book. Then those supporters will get a free copy of it first and they can make sure it looks correct before I offer it for sale. Thats kind of what I am thinking. Still in the infancy stage.

FYI, the rinds make great pickles. Yhe rind are pretty low cal and taste like cucumber. Can be used in gazpacho soup instead of cucumbers.

First off, I’d definitely support an ebook, for what it’s worth. Especially if it has macro friendly meals. Also, I work in higher ed and the back to school talk is traumatizing 😂 (jk) but it makes me so excited for late summer and fall meal prep! It’s my favorite time of year (food wise). And lately I’ve been obsessed with textured pea protein and I prefer it to tvp these days (I eat plenty of soy otherwise so I’m not anti soy, fyi). Cant remember if you’ve ever mentioned it so I’m curious if you’ve tried any! AcreMade is a brand I get on Amazon and it’s pretty affordable.

Oh! And my justegg jack has been to use silicone “muffin top” molds to make little justegg disks that are similar to the folded just eggs. I never tried them on biscuits but they’d be perfect for that! Yum

Don't be embarrassed to walk shirtless, Joey! We all need to work towards healing the body shame that has been indoctrinated into our minds. Plus, you have worked so hard for your health and anesthetics! You look great!
@bikegirrl12 ай бұрын
I agree! Joey is so hard on himself and says such mean things about his body sometimes. I think he looks great and I wish he saw what everyone else sees when they look at him - a fit dude who is aging amazingly!

Since you have extra liners for your IP, have you tried pulling out the first one that you sautéed in and start with a clean liner before adding other ingredients to pressure cook? Sometimes we can miss even a tiny bit of that goody that has stuck to the bottom and that can trigger a burn signal. Enjoying the whole video, I live alone but like to cook and freeze food ahead. Intentionally adding more protein as I understand we seniors need it so I’m enjoying even more, your most recent recipes. Thanks!

I make almost the exact same breakfast sandwiches, same products, except I use 2 sausage patties and a bagel instead of a biscuit. But I've had the same issue - bagels have a good little chunk of protein, but also 250 calories. While you were lamenting on this issue, I had the thought - why not try it on a tortilla? Potentially even one of those plant protein tortillas. I might need to try it and report back!
@PlantBasedDads2 ай бұрын
ohhhhh. I like your style!! I need to look into the tortilla option for sure.

Is your TVP bleached? It looks very pale, beige. Here in Canada the TVP I buy is dark brown, close to the colour of your TVP mixed with the spicy water.
@PlantBasedDads2 ай бұрын
@@lw9837 interesting. As far as I know it is not bleached. It is Anthony’s organic brand
@lw98372 ай бұрын
Wow! Thanks for the reply. I buy my TVP at Bulk Barn. I can also get bags of something called Soy Chunks from Food Basics grocery store; they are also brown. I’ve noticed SoyaCurls (pictures from Amazon) are very pale much like your TVP but they are not sold locally (small town) and I rarely order anything online.
