Sir but in essence the HMA got violated because bigamy took place and the interpretation of the term 'void' in Sec 494 as to include violation of any law and the principles of natural justice- justifies the decision and point the SC tried to make and bring justice to the aggrieved in absence of any to-the-point law for such a case.
