POST PANTRY CHALLENGE Weekly Meal Prep & Grocery Haul | Homestead Meals Made from Scratch. This weeks meals include Beef Stew, White Chicken Chili with fresh milled cornbread, a variety of salads, snacks, fresh baked breads, breakfasts, and more! I'm also sharing a small grocery haul and we tried to keep it under $100 which is tough to dotes days. I try to stay away from town to limit the spending. We eat mostly from our pantry and freezer stores. It's time to restock the pepper pantry after over a month of pantry challenge meals.

I love smoothies. I now make popsicles with smoothie mixes. One of my favorite snacks. Peanut butter and jelly has always been a go to for my family. Even as grown up’s they still love them and feed their kiddos that as well. I have been following your recipes with homemade breads. I was intimidated at first but now I’m getting pretty good at it. Even ventured to flavoring like cinnamon or tomatoe bread. Next I’m trying a Mediterranean olive bread. Thanks for confidence and motivation Katie. Reallly enjoy your videos

Katie just food for thought a new study came out stating that plastic cutting boards when chopped on particle end up on the knife blades and board which ends up in and on foods which we end up ingesting

Plastic nanoparticles are everywhere. My wood cutting boards get used more but I still use plastic occasionally. I need to toss them.

If you’re trying to use up some peanut butter…try peanut butter and chocolate chip muffins, it would be fun for the kids I think!

Can you share your sandwich bread bread machine recipe?

Sure!! 1 2/3 cup water 4 tablespoons fat 2teaspoons salt 4 tablespoons sugar 1/4 cup rolled oats 4 cups bread flour or 1/2 1/2 with AP flour 2 teaspoons yeast on top if you are doing a bread machine. I do a quick loaf cycle that’s a little over 2 hours 18minutes. There is a video on my channel as well. I also have a whole sourdough playlist, as well as a sourdough bread machine recipe.

I have been doing a low budget grocery challenge/using up pantry food stores since November, then the strict pantry challenge in January. We used up what I was comfortable with and I want to maintain a certain amount of food storage for “just in case.”🌻🌻🌻
