I just got a French bulldog he is about 2 1/2 months old when can I start changing his diet

How do you keep his adorable face clean when he eats? I have a pug/boxer mix with a real set of jowls and wrinkles and when he eats it goes all over his chin, his lips, his cheeks, all over his nose and his wrinkles.

My frenchie is a very picky eater only wants human food and has been losing a lot of weight will this raw food diet help him gain or lose even more weight? I want her to be healthy what do you suggest?

Hi RubyJuelz! To answer your question, raw feeding can help your pet gain or lose weight depending on how much you are feeding them. Normally you would identify your Frenchie's activity level and weight. Since your Frenchie is underweight, you would take the weight of your Frenchie and times it by 3.5 to 4% = how much food ( in pounds) a day. Once your Frenchie goes back to his or her normal weight, you will decrease the percent to 2.5% (this is for moderate activity level). You really have to keep an eye on them when you start out, that way you get a better idea of how the food is affecting your Frenchie's weight. Have you considered cooked human food for your Frenchie? Since he or she loves the way human food tastes like, I think that is a possible route to go towards. We'd have to customize it but at least we already know human food is what he or she loves! I know it can get a bit overwhelming! We all just want the best for our pets right? If you're interested, try checking out The Farmer's Dog or Ollie. They are known for customized cooked food for pets. I truly hope this helps! Best wishes to you and your little Frenchie :)

hey! weve got a frenchie a couple months ago and im trying to explain to my mum why feeding him raw meat is best/good but im struggling to explain so maybe you could help me with some benefits its given your pup)
@helloitskimmie4 жыл бұрын
Hi Mollie, of course. First off, congratulations on your new baby! Feeding raw can be off putting to some. Especially when they don't full understand it yet. But no worries, if you have a hard time putting it into words. I'd highly recommend watching Pet Fooled because it gives us a better understanding of commercial foods are doing to our pets. BUT, don't get the idea that anyone can feed their pet raw because they do need the proper resources for instance a pet nutritionist that specializes in raw feeding. We don't want to miss any important nutrients! The benefits we've noticed are: 1. healthy teeth (we've had multiple docs telling us Groot's teeth are on point) 2. Shiny coats 3. Less and small stools 4. Less to no stinky farts! (this was a big deal before, but I don't recall our room stinking up anymore) 5. Last but not least, the ability to control the diet. I hope this helps!

I am sorry, can you help me please, I don't understand "MCP oil". What does it mean? I am from Russia, my English isn't good enough...

Since you are feeding him raw food. Dose he shed less? Thank you.
@helloitskimmie4 жыл бұрын
Good morning Miguel. This is a good question! Shedding less or more comes down to many factors. For instance, diet, stress, environment, and really genetics. Before having him go on raw, this boy sheds like there's no tomorrow. Especially after a bath. I was scared to say the lease but turns out it was normal? (I had a Shih tzu before and they rarely shed) As Groot is getting older, it has lessen and his coat is so soft! BUT...we still have our lint roller in case we need to clean up before going out :) May I ask how old is your baby?
