The Brighton trip looked so fun! With regards to Faithless, I think characters make or break a book, if I don't care for the characters then I don't care if the plot points happen or not its just so uninteresting.

(For me) it doesn't matter if a main character is a good person or not. As long as the book is aware that they are not good, it shouldn't matter. Especially in stories with a lot of grey situations. Of course I don't know how this was executed in "The Faithless" but I am talking generally here.

Oh I love a morally grey character but I would say Luca doesn’t present like that to me in The Faithless. It feels like I’m supposed to like her but I don’t. It makes sense in terms of her being the princess of a colonising country and how naturally her perspective would be biased bc of that even though she’s trying to do the “right thing” but she just gets on my nerves.

@@BeccaandTheBooks Oh I totally get that. Even though I enjoyed "The Unbroken" much more than you, I still decided to not continue for similar reasons to you. I totally get WHY Luca and Touraine are the way they are. I was just not interested to read about them.

I’d say that A Game of Fate is just a repeat of A Touch of Darkness but Hades perspective but the 2nd book: A Game of Retribution is actually like its own book! In my opinion you could skip the first of the Hades Saga and then keep going with the second after A Touch of Ruin 😊

Completely relate having to get used to an iphone. I got mine intitially for health reasons and it was so hard at first. You'll get the hang of it!!

I read The Unbroken when it came out and had the exact same thoughts as you, so it was really helpful to hear about book 2! I guess I won't be continuing

I completely understand need to adjust from an android to an iPhone. There’s usually a little side button switch thing that turns the sound off just as an FYI.

Can relate about the iPhone/Android thing. When I got a Samsung, having been used to an iPhone, I had no idea how to use my phone. I still don't, really!

When you are in the Settings there should be all the apps listed that you have and when you choose the one you get messages through, there you should be able to adjust what notifications (if any) you get. I hope that helps, I have had iPhones for years and they always change things up...

Ive had an ipad since 2018, and I only use 2-3 apps on it and still don't remember how to close apps and other things lol. Good luck learning the iphone 😂
