Charlotte - you are doing so well reading almost 3 books. You keep practising and soon Dick and Jane will be your 4th book! So proud of you! Amelia - great job reading the countries on the map! You are much braver than I am - Dracula would scare me! Tammy -They are so precious - it always makes me smile to see them. I love the Needlecraft series - it was on of my first series too and I would be so excited when I new one came out. I really miss it. You had some really good books last week and going this week too.

Uh oh, how did I miss this video?! So glad you plowed through even though you had a busy day. Loved seeing what the sweet Little Misses are reading. So cool to learn about the cozy mystery that got you started with the genre. Gone Away Lake sounds good--I do love me some wacky seniors in books. And blow me down, I'm reading Elizabeth Gaskell, Cranford, right now! I'm so glad you liked another book by her because I am loving EG and predict I will read more.

Whaaaat? Cranford??? I have to laugh at the almost spooky coincidences and similarities with us. 😂😂🤣❤️

It's always good to see children reading and it's always good to hear them playing. Thank you for sharing. While I'm not in a reading slump, I'm definitely in a reading "slog." I'm reading, but it's taking me forever to finish a page. My November tbr is mocking me. lol

Your granddaughters are adorable. I am glad they are reading, I have a 4 year old grandson, and he can read some words. Kids are way advance these days, which is a good thing. I remember when I was in kindergarten, we just did arts and crafts and played games, I never learn to read then or do numbers. I like to try a book by Elizabeth Gaskell, that one looks short, a good one to try.

Same here. I remember singing, coloring, and playing. Didn't learn a single thing in kindergarten. 😂😂🤣 I'm astounded at how early kids are learning these days. ❤️

Charlotte and Amelia are adorable! ❤❤ I was busy last week so only listened to I'll Be Home For Mischief by Jacqueline Frost. The Christmas Tree Farm has ruined me for all other Christmas books. This series is perfect for me for Christmas! I started Fondue or Die by Korina Moss. I'm really enjoying it but I'm reading a Mass Market paperback and my eyes aren't what they used to be so it taking me a while.
@believeinyourshelf4 күн бұрын
I started Fondue or Die, too! 😂 My copy is a mass market, as well. Speaking for myself, the old gray mare ain't what she used to be. 😭😂🤣

I've never read a book about the dustbowl, but I've seen you and Elizabeth have read books about it this year. I may have to pick something up about it.
@believeinyourshelf4 күн бұрын
Dustbowl and the Great Depression are definitely buzzwords for me. I'm not sure what that says about me... 😂😂🤣

Well, hello, Bob Books. 🙋♀️ I "retired" this past summer after 33yrs of K-12 homeschooling. 😊 Teaching my kids to read (and reading aloud to them through the years) was my absolute favorite part of the entire homeschool journey. Now they're all avid readers and writers as adults. 📚📚📚 That Monica Ferris series is one I read years ago, and I was just thinking recently that I might want to start it over again in 2025. I think I have (and read) 14 of them, but I see there are now 19 books. Apparently, the last one was published in 2016. Do you happen to know if the series is finished at this point? I don't remember reading that title by Elizabeth Gaskell, but I need to check it out. Thanks for sharing, Tammy! 😊
@believeinyourshelf4 күн бұрын
The series is finished. There's either 18 or 19 books in all, but I can't remember which, lol! I loved homeschooling, too. Oh, what memories! Teaching children to read is the most rewarding experience ever. 🥹❤️📚

You had some sweet helpers today ❤I really want to read The Moorland Cottage. Did you like that edition of the book? I read Vittoria Cottage on my Kindle last week and really enjoyed it.
@believeinyourshelf4 күн бұрын
I do like my edition of Moorland Cottage, mostly because it's so lightweight. The font is a little on the smaller size. I can read it fine right now, but it may be more difficult down the road as my eyes continue to age.
