HisNibs said that the C2000 feed is plastic. I too was undecided so I'm glad he passed along that information. I can't imagine that the nib would dry out, with that plastic liner. Remember; even with the cracked caps; how well the N24 nibs wrote? Thanks for the mention of my video. I appreciate that. Also, Une Fontaine de Plumes has English subtitles. I'm happy to see the Weekly Recap. It's become an important part of my Sunday morning routine. 16:37

Thank you for the response! I appreciate it. The main problems I was having was a thickening and darkening of the ink. After several minutes, the ink had an oily feel to it and would smear. I’m doing further testing and my Light Green is performing a little better. The Blue Red is still having issues. I don’t know if it makes a difference, but I live in dry Southern California. Anyway, I love your channel. I appreciate channels that aren’t afraid to show Chinese and Indian pens. So thank you, sir!

Very happy with the weekly recap! I tried again to mount the pelikan m800 nib on the admok m800 with the original schmidt feeder. I managed to avoid the gap I mentioned previously but the pelikan nib up there feels kinda strange although usable. I'll try to write some more pages with it… Have a nice week Vincenzo!

I received my V60 last week in transparent brown with a 1.1 stub. My second pen after buying the Black with Gold Trim with an EF nib which wrote beautifully out of the box and very wet. This one wrote very smooth but dry and needed some work opening the tines. Right now this is writing very nicely.

I agree with you on the Mahohn v60. I owned the Omas 70th aniversary transparent red, but unfortunately, a nibgrinder ruined the nib for me, so I sold it, regret it to this day. Of course the Omas had a gorgeous gold nib, and was far superior, but this knock off is giving me alot of joy for a tenth of the price. I ordered the other two transparent ones, Grey and brown. Just an awesome pen. I think the solid colored ones look cheap, but the translucent ones are good looking.

Thank you for this nice weekly recap. I've enjoyed the chalice part ;-). Really eager to see you notebook part 3 as your videos on this topic are unique and completely motivate to try new paper. oh I'm waiting so bad my Asvine C2000s 🙂. (Appart for the Shak video, an interesting point I believe: from what I've noticed, his grip is pretty different from many of us : he tends to have his index on top of the grip *top doesn't mean here close to the nib but in front of the plane top surface of the nib*, I sometimes see this index position used by some flex writers because it improves the control when you push on the nib (the finger is also a lot parallel to the grip completely counter flexed). What is less common is the thumb which is really high: if you try this kind of grip/finger position, you will see it helps a bit to control the pen position because the index finger is more on top, like a counterbalance. Have a look to his video Magna Carta vs. Pilot, the grip can be well seen. This is the reason of his grip problem with the Asvine ....) Again a great video !

Another wonderful recap Vincenzo. It must be a Freudian thing as you kept referring to the C2000 as the C200, and even wrote it that once!! Not important, just making an observation. As for new pens, I have a C5 that should be showing up in 2-3 days. Yes, it looks like a CON-70 with a grip section attached to it. The Dukang 2000, I've thought about it, but I'm still on the fence on that one. There was one other that I just ordered. They call it the luxury "Modern Creative" with a detachable magnetic piston fill converter. A very interesting looking pen. The Gravitas limited version of the Piston Carbon Black arrived. What a fantastic pen, very wet writer for a #8 sized Fine nib with an Ebonite feed, and so very smooth/well tuned. Finally, I broke down and ordered my last order from Anderson Pens before the site goes down the end of Tues. - A Platinum 3776 in Bourgogne with an EF gold nib. AS always, take care and looking forward to the coming reviews!!

Thank you for your videos, they are very informative, I really appreciate your hard work. About Tomoe River paper, it is really sad what is happening with the Sanzen TR. Bachuan paper, the one that can be found in Kinbor planners, could be a great alternative to the old TR,. Do you know if it can be found in any other notebook out there?

Keyboard does make other products in addition to the planners. You should look in AliExpress for further offerings. However, I don’t know if that paper is being used in other products by other brands. That’s an excellent point I will have to research it.

Regarding comments on your not having problems even though you don’t clean new nibs is related to your preference of wide and stub nibs. I wonder if EF or F nibs are easier to have oil problems.

That's an interesting observation, maybe that's the case. I'll need to give that some more thought.

Hi Vincenzo! I want to first say you are one if not my favorite fountain pen reviewer and personality on KZbin. I really enjoyed your channel and find it very informative and trustworthy. If you allow me to comment on one of your topics in this video, I'd like to share my experience with Atlas Stationers and Brendan. In 2024 I purchased 3 fountain pens from Atlas (1 Esterbrook Estie with the Needlepoint Nib and 2 Maiora's). All three arrived with issues. The nib on the Esterbrook was defective, one Maiora didn't write at all, and the other had nib concerns. I hear from every KZbin Channel who reviews Fountain Pens how Atlas is so great to work with and Brendan takes such good care of them, but have they had to deal with their support? I had the worst experience with their support and trying to keep in touch with them (the old runaround). I was first told they will help just give them time to figure out how. Then I was told here's the manufacturer's contact information deal with it on your own. I contacted Kenro and they covered the shipping and replaced the nib (problem fixed). I contacted Yafa and shipped the pen that didn't write to them. Three (3) months and countless emails asking and explaining the issue (why?) they finally shipped the pen back with a replacement nib that was a different size than what I ordered. After those 3 months of dealing with this on my own, I decided to let Atlas know of my dissatisfaction with this whole experience, because I kept seeing KZbinr's say how wonderful Atlas is and they will take care of you. I was then finally able to reach Brendan. To complete this story, Brendan apologized. I sent back the other Maiora (refunded) and I received compensation on the one Yafa fixed. Is it wrong to expect I could simply send them back to Atlas and have their support resolve the issues? I am interested to hear if other customers have similar experiences.
@fountainpentherapy15 сағат бұрын
Wow, it sounds like a very frustrating experience. I understand how you feel. I’ve not had to deal with a return from any supplier in fact. Maybe it’s it’s his staff that’s not doing the job properly. I can see whether or not I can approach Brendan discreetly to find out what the problem is. I’ve not had any other viewer express similar frustration with is return policy or support.

My C5 is supposed to arrive on Friday. I am looking forward to it. Be aware you cannot remove the piston or the section for maintenance. You can remove the nib and feed and flush the barrel using a blunt syringe.

Do they mean that the wood itself dries out and becomes brittle?
@fountainpentherapy15 сағат бұрын
That is not supposed to happen with the resin that stabilises at wood. I only had one wood pen crack on me and that was the original N 24 cap that I reference in my recap. The third replacement and the one that I still have now has no issues. The other reviewer referred to a porous material that allowed air to affect the wetness.
@pensane38 минут бұрын
I was referring to the ink drying out in the pen. The ink thickens and darkens and takes on an oily consistency, taking a very long time to dry, if at all.
