Weekly Torah Portion: Terumah

Why does G-d instruct Moshe to "build for ME a Sanctuary?" Why is G-d so insistent on Israel building a Mikdash (Tabernacle/Temple) for His name's sake? Why does G-d want to share our space on this earth? And why do some question G-d's integrity in insisting that He desires that His presence will dwell among His people Israel?

Shabat Shalom Rabbi, Thankyou for your words about HaShems desire to be loved and accepted. Adonai does say He wants a place to put His Name and that worship should only take place at that place which later became MAKOM, 'The Place' He met with The Patriarchs, Yerushalim, especially the Temple Mount, on important occasions establishing His Covenant with His chosen people from Abraham Avinu.

Shalom. Very inspiring words of the Rabbi. Indeed, it is strange that the Temple is not build yet. It is like mankind rejects the offer of HaShem's blessing. Through the temple all mankind will be blessed. In my opinion, all is because of a viruelnt lie of replacement theology. It is a lie but some still believe in it and this cause problems. At first it were Christians who felt into it and then so called Muslims followed into this trap. But HaShem decided to locate His presence on the Temple Mount and to entrust the supervision and service of the temple to the Children of Israel. It is G-d's decision and man's attempt against it makes no sense.
