It’s truly saddening to hear how difficult it’s been for you guys the past two years, deeply empathizing (being someone who was in a long distance relation and finally permanently reunited) I saw that they’ve finally opened up for fully vaccinated which is so exciting and incredible! But also still a bit screwed up because it really shouldn’t be this way to begin with IMO. The fact that many other countries are still operating and allowing people in while also taking some safety precautions just makes AUS and USA look so ridiculous. No doubt the issues you are having getting steve/you into the states/Oz must really suck. But what has helped me in similer situations is trying to have some perspective. While the situation sucks, you and steve are both healthy and seem to be doing well in career/job/business/hobbies. You are both really lucky and trust me, life can deal FAR worse hands then this problem.
