Weekly Vlog # 293: Home Alone

Hi everyone
welcome back to another slice of my weekly waffling, I hope you've
all had a good week. If its your first time stopping by the channel, thank you

I've called this week's vlog Home Alone but technically I wasn't alone just minus Lawrence who was having a lovely jollybob in Austria visiting his friend. I've added some of his footage at the end of the video, I think we
can all agree Salzburg is stunning! I actually enjoyed walking Jack and Daxter early in the mornings, its been lovely seeing the flowers and blossom bloom each morning and luckily the rain held off for me. Since I had the weekend to myself I declared it a crafting weekend and I had a nice time making miniature stuff. Thanks for tuning into the recent podcast, I had some great tips about the shawl I had cast on and I've gone for a do-over and very happy with the new yarn choice. It was also my monthly hairdresser appointment this week and I'm very happy with how my hair is growing out. Ideally I'd like to have my hair back to how it was when I went to Ibiza although not quite as long. In true Dawn style we also have a little shopping haul LOL Do you buy your household cleaning products together
with your groceries or do you also shop around for a cheaper option?

Hi Dawn, Sunday is my lazy day, but this morning hasnt turned out too bad I may be dreaming but there is actually blue sky!!!!. Enjoyed seeing the "cherry"? blossom. My crafty mojo is gradually coming back its definitely been awal recently. Laurences footage was amazing. Take care of you, no fun when you are having trouble sleeping. Chris from Kent x

I like the fireplace. Corbels would look nice but not necessary if they don't fit. Sometimes less is more anyways. Have you ever made those little dioramas for book shelves? I think they call them book nooks. Seems like you'd enjoy crafting up a tiny room to sit between the books. Austria is beautiful. Good job Laurence! See you next week. Thanks foe sharing.

Yesterday I finished my pair of gingerbread socks (yay!), so this morning while watching your vlog I cast on the ZickZack scarf using zauberball wool. I'm not sure about the zauberball, though. Not fond of it yet. So I can understand your mixed feelings about the scarf you're working on. I loved the footage from Lawrence. 🤩 We always go skiing south of Salzburg once a year. It's beautiful there! Wishing you a wonderful week! 🥰

Hi Dawn, well thanks pal as I sit watching you while drinking coffee from my small Emma Bridgewater spots mug 🤣. Make the most of this post kiddo ha ha. I also like the Black Toast range but I use the small mugs as the large ones hold too much liquid! I do have two of the large Black Toast starting with Chocolate, but my favourites are the small ones which start "Coffee give me clarity" and my spots mugs! By the way they are perfectly all right in the dishwasher but I've found that they don't always like the microwave! We stayed in Kirchberg in 1991 during our Silver Wedding celebrations and visited Kitzbuhel!! We also went to Saltzburg where they were celebrating 200 years since Mozart died. The fireplace will look amazing when it's all painted, don't fret about it. You certainly got a bargain shop, did you find out which bottle was leaking? Lawrence's videos brought back happy memories so thank him xx

I'm sorry Maureen but the spots aren't doing it for me 🤣🤣 Lawrence said it had changed a lot but then again we've not been for over 20 years. I really want to go again, it's so beautiful. No I didn't find the leak 🤣🤣🤣😘

Good morning Dawn … funny you mentioned Marrakesh, I’ve recently spent a long weekend in Marrakesh with family and friends celebrating my nieces hen party .. but just before I went I looked back at your vlog when you went to get a feeling … I loved it there x

I don't like my Charles III mug. I bought quickly without looking too closely as they seem to be selling out or something but it looks like it was painted by a child, nothing wrong with that if that was the look you want but I was disappointed. Jane
