For the novel work: Maybe instead of tackling writing that one big novel, maybe you can write a book of short stories! That way you can mess around with any genre, not be too tied down with massive world building and you can get some stories completed. I relate to your writing struggle. I'm writing my book now but it took me at least a year and a half to finish my brainstorming. And even if I've written 19 chapter now I'm still planning and remove stuff every time. Writing is not a linear process just like any other form of art. I've learned that letting my mind go wild and making it a game helped me a lot. There's no rush in finish the book so you should take your time and have fun with it! Your readers will definitely feel it!

With the different world ideas try drawing out different scenes or aspects with or without the characters in them like for example you mentioned space ships try designing a space ship then filling in the background details afterwards

For your novel: maybe try looking up Creative Writing! It will help you a lot with organizing your general ideas Writing takes practice so, short stories would be a great way to create different plots and to develop them without the pressure that it is to write a novel!!

i’m late as hell but the walking dead fired the director/showrunner in the middle of filming season 2 so there were changes made from what the original showrunner had planned and set up in the first 2 seasons
