Zoe I have no doubt in my mind that you’re suffering with your skin because your hair is always greasy/sweaty from exercise and you don’t wash it every day so then you sleep on your pillow, and then all that grease and sweat is going onto your skin throughout the night. That’s if you change your pillow everyday. Nevermind if you change your bedding every 2 weeks x

What grt advice from your Dad - all so true 100%. I have just been to a wedding where it poured with rain all day but it had no bearing on the day at all - it was a brilliant wedding for a brilliant couple. Wish you & Danny a gorgeous day.

Zoe I used to use that la Roche posay toner and the nurse who does my facials said it’s very harsh and strips your skin too much when used daily as it’s exfoliating. I stopped using it and I use what she prescribed now and my skin is definitely feeling better.

Just to add to the above it’s probably best to stick to one skincare rather than jump between lots of products. Hope you get sorted in time for your wedding ❤

We got married in April and we too were worried by the weather. But, our wedding co-ordinator said to us that rain can make a day so much more special. You won't have people in shades squinting at the sun, and it can make some incredible photos! We were incredibly lucky with our weather but just like your dad said, it doesn't matter what the weather is like, you are there to marry the person you love! And it'll be incredible no matter what x

Hey Zoe. Im 22, my skin randomly got bad about a year ago in the same place you have yours. I tried every product I could, including La Roche Posay, but when I stopped using it I realised it made it worse. All I use now is the Elemis Cleansing Balm, then the Cetaphil Gentle Cleanser, to get the remainder of the oils out of my face. They are the only 2 products I use now each evening and it’s cleared my skin up completely. Even just try it for two weeks and see what happens. Hope this helps x

I had troubles with my skin exactly the same as you for years!! I went on Accutane in the end and I’ve had clear skin since. One big thing I noticed and my dermatologist said, was eating fruit can cause flare ups? I used to have a smoothie every morning and stopped and noticed a huge difference with how aggressive my spots were and how often they were coming up! Just thought to mention as you eat a lot of fruit 😃 really annoying but helpful!! Xx

Zoe just to make you aware if you get anything topical from the doctors for you skin like differin etc your skin will likely purge for a few weeks before it gets better! So if you’re worried about your wedding it may be best to wait as it can make your skin quite flakey too ❤️

Hey! Just a recommendation for your skin, sudocream is amazing- it sounds strange to use it on acne but honestly it has helped me so much and my acne used to be horrendous! It dries up the spots but heals them very quickly. Just something that might help if nothing else does xx
@oliviawebb986Ай бұрын
Zoe try some witch hazel on the flare ups, it helps them dry up faster and it’s a natural cleanser so can swap the cleanser for that after, I would suggest double washing though maybe get a mild cleanser like leroche posey what ever it’s called haha. Looks hormonal from the area, I’m getting the same in the same area 😫 27 years old with acne it’s not fair! 😅

Zoe, I have really bad dermatitis and psorisis, when I say bad, I mean like 80% of my body's covered. My face has always been pretty good, I only suffer on my hairline, but over the last 6 months OH MY GOD, the spots I started getting, the scabs, the spots UNDER my skin - so bad. Anyway. I'm pretty clued up on my skin care game and knowledge. Try avoid anything with fragrance in on your face. I can recommend the brand 'medik8'. Also a good exfoliator, I use 'clinique exfoliator' Keep using the stuff your GP gave on your chin (anywhere it gets bad) but avoid avoid avoid fragrance products when your suffering. (I swear it's the stress of wedding planning haha. I get married in October and I swear it's only gotten bad over the last 6 month since I started planning). Love the fact your not hiding it. Or ashamed. Remember it's totally normal and your beautiful xx

Accutane is almost guaranteed to clear acne for good, dianette and spironolactone are also good treatments if you have very resistant acne (ive been on accutane twice and am currently on dianette and spironolactone and i use a topical antibiotic but i still get spot's! 😢) but most women arent unlucky like me! 😭

@elysebeddoe7220Ай бұрын
I’d definitely cut out alternative milk - it spikes your insulin which increases oil production (I developed cystic acne from this and am now 5 months in on accutane 😭) if you cut it out now by the time of the wedding I think you’ll see a drastic decrease in inflammation ontop of the what your dr gave you ❤️ but don’t stress you’re stunning! Also highly recommend getting your bloods done for hormonal changes
@sophpop2101Ай бұрын
Really depends on the milk, this isn’t true for coconut or almond , especially if it’s just a brand like premise which is all natural.

Have you ever considered getting short pixie cut? It would REALLY suit you, and with gym / running it’s a simple wash & go. No styling required. Best thing I ever did.

I’m so glad you finally got onto some medication. Antibiotics work very effectively while you take them and they are good to use for the lead up to your wedding and after. However, when you stop taking them it will likely come back, but I’d recommend continuing with the antibiotics and in the future ( after your wedding is over) taking Accutane and antibiotics together and then after 3 months coming off the antibiotics and finish your Accutane course. The antibiotics will help stop the initial Accutane flare up, so take them together for the first 3 months of your Accutane, then after that wean yourself off the antibiotics while you’re taking the Accutane. No cream on this planet will fix acne how medication can. When scarring happens on top of scarring, sometimes it scars permanently and you get pitted skin, so it’s important you stop them coming up. DON’T GET PREGNANT ON ACCUTANE THOUGH! I’m so glad you’ve done this, dealing with acne is miserable! I remember the upheaval and sick feeling in my stomach each morning, dreading how my skin would be. Taking medication changed that for me and gave me my confidence back xx
@chilainelouw6017Ай бұрын
You seem clued up with accutane. I was on accutane twice, both for more than 6 months, clearned skin up so nicely even oily hair, then few months afterwards skin gets oily again and the hormonal acne starts again. Dermatologist says i must take Yasmin Plus to maintain the good skin, dont realy want to go on the pill, but is that the best solution?
@Videostowatch24Ай бұрын
@@chilainelouw6017Yasmin was awful for my skin! What’s really good is either low dose Accutane over a year or so of (20mg), or Spirinolactone is very, very, effective, especially for hormonal acne. It’s a safe drug that can be taken long term. I don’t know where you’re based, but my dermatologist is amazing. He was the ‘expert’ for acne on CH4 Embarassing bodies. Look up Dr Sunil Chopra, London Dermatology Centre. You can look it up. Yasmin made my skin horrible though xXx
@Videostowatch24Ай бұрын
@@chilainelouw6017 I already replied to this but the messages seems to have gone. Short version is: Yasmin made my skin horrible, Spirinolactone or low dose Accutane to take each day long term is much more effective xxx

Bad advice to suggest long term antibiotics. They destroy your gut biome, which leads to all sorts of problems
@aleemyousaf2997Ай бұрын
From what you've said it sounds like you have hormonal acne. We do recommend COCP for that In lots of cases. The other thing is to carry on topical treatment after stopping the antibiotics this could be azaelic acid, benzyl peroxide or topical retinol. Some are better for black and white heads others for papules/pustules x

I would recommend investing in a dermatologist vs going to the doctors because I didn’t see any improvements with my skin until I visited a dermatologist Also, I’m thinking that sleeping with greasy hair after work outs etc is what could be causing you break outs because all of that rubs into your pillow and then your face into the pillow if that makes sense x
@leah1199Ай бұрын
Zoe try changing your pillow case every couple of days, it should help with your skin also

Hi Zoe I just wanted to ask are you drinking Soya milk??? A year ago I started having soya milk in my coffee, at the same time I started having really bad skin in the exact areas you are having break outs. A friend of mine told me to stop drinking it because concern. Soy contains a high content of isoflavone,⁷ which is structurally similar to a type of estrogen. Just want to help as I know how horribly painful and self conscious acne makes you. Sending love and peace ❤

Sometimes oat milk can be bad for your skin due to the added ingredients in it so might be worth changing to another plant based milk x
@emilystorey3539Ай бұрын
I know how you feel with your skin mine was so much worse I’ll share my journey to give you some food for thought. I believe mine was high cortisol hormonal acne caused by a lot of exercise and a horrible boss at work. I was forced to change during lockdown and omg the difference within the first few weeks. I no longer had to see my boss in person and I couldn’t hammer the gym. I switched to home workouts less intensity. I stripped everything back cleansed with cerave hydrating cleanser, moisturised with the cerave moisturiser. I used duac gel prescribed by the dr and that’s it! Switched to natural deodorant (salt of the earth if your hormones are off normal deodorant stops the detoxification process). I cut out all plant based milk and butter I believed dairy caused it but it didn’t! Whole milk is what you need I know it has more fat but honestly the oils in plant based “dairy” are extremely inflammatory. I then took a probiotic and prebiotic along with zinc magnesium and vitamin d. Wishing you luck Zoe ❤
