I’m very sorry to tell you that you were employed as a CMT. Whilst you may have have been “unofficially loaned” by your unit based as it was to the Gymnasium to gain experience you were not a PTI. You cannot expect to gain the prerequisite amount of reporting time within you specific skill set as a CMT to be promoted…time under the spotlight…compared as you would & should be against your CMT peers if you’ve been loaned to the Gym to work with PTIs. Military life does not work that way. Imagine how your peers…working hard & perhaps as keen & sharp as you appear stay in their CMT lane working in role get passed over for their first promotion by you … working on loan as you say outside your common lane & skill set. Only after proving yourself within lane & climbing that first rank ladder should you make your move. I will state, that whomever gave you the career advice to work in the Gym at such a low relative seniority in your trade role (CMT) unfortunately gave you very poor & very short sighted advice. Best of luck. From a retired WO2, 25 years of service. I’m afraid that TV dramas like Our Girl do nothing but paint an incorrect picture of Service Life.

Zoe I had a October wedding as it was supposed to be the driest month it absolutely poured down to the point people couldn’t get down the lanes my violinist was stuck a man was sweeping water of the path outside I was walking down and you know what it didn’t ruin a thing we just cracked on and the minute I walked. Down the outside isle it’s just stopped and the sun shone through I did get a plastic white aisle runner. Just incase so we used this so my dress didnt get dirty 5 years on still married they say rain is good luck 😂 hope you have the best day I’m manifesting the sun for you but if not it won’t ruin anything we had some time outside to ourselves inbetween the day and evening and this was lovely just to take everything in on our own and we did what your saying didn’t really talk to people we were together dancing all night ❤️
