Mother’s day is meant to celebrate mothers, so if you have one you should celebrate them. It sounds like you do nice things for your mom all the time and that’s why it doesn’t seem like a big deal but … as a motherless child, if my mama was here i would spoil her daily and make mother’s day her grand finale 🤣

I went to Alabama last week (downtown) surrounding areas we went for drinks and also did the cigar bar it was pretty good definitely not for shopping (clothes) did some museums after that it was time to hit the road back to ATL okay for a few hours/day get away it can be a culture shock depends where you coming from LOL😀 it’s great to take day trips next week I’m going to TN😆

I love purchasing new journals for use now or later. I decide to write in them about life or what I am thinking but I always end of ripping the pages out and storing the journal for another use for later. I think I worry that someone will get a hold of it and read my secret thoughts. I am curious as to what you do with the journals once you have filled it up? No, it's not weird to NOT buy a Mother's Day gift. I place the focus on honoring my mom & other mom's the way THEY would feel most appreciated in the most authentic way to me. I do think your rationale for not wanting to purchase a gift (because you're a mother now) is different, and I personally can not relate to that. I'm sure you did what was right for you, and that's all that matters. Mother's Day is every day. Don't let the calendar pigeon hole you. 😊
