I found 1/2 dozen thick Milk Shake straws and keep them on hand for my rounder stemmed flowers. When my sunflowers start to wilt, I pop them in the straw and they stay upright longer. Another great video we love sharing your days with you

Oh Iwan, thank you for this - I enjoyed it enormously. We are very similar with hotel rooms - I regularly stay in a Premier Inn and the first thing I do is get rid of the ‘monstrosity’ (I’m calling it that now too 😉) I also get rid of the paperwork. Get this though - I also take antibacterial wipes and clean surfaces/light switches/the remote - is that crazy? Totally loved this vlog - they are my favourite type of videos to watch. You are a natural and your editing is marvellous. I used to live near you so it’s nice to see places I recognise too. I also love DIY projects and charity shops so looking forward to your next videos!

I find I can speed read on an electronic device. I have read three books this month now that I have a cloud library app on my phone and I can download free books from my public library (and that’s without much free time). How come you don't have a travel candle. I always wash out any ceramic mugs they give you. Plus, use a disinfectant on the door handles, table tops, phone, light switches. We set up all our stuff.

I am a relatively new subscriber and I don't think I have heard you say what your day job is. Can you share that, at least a general idea? In my younger days, I spent years travelling constantly for work and the first thing I always did was get rid of the bedspreads. I don't think those things ever get washed. The lovely white flowers are Japanese anemones. Books will tell you they are deer resistant, but don't believe them. The deer leave the leaves alone, however, just as soon as they start to flower, the deer eat all the flowers and buds. I guess you likely don't have a deer problem, but out here in Western Washington state, they are the bane of my garden. :) I did get to the end and I enjoyed the format and found it very interesting seeing a bit of what your life is like.

You should invest in some wireless headphones with a mike boom to use when talking on the phone. It really makes long phone conversations so much easier, and you can move around and multi-task, doing the washing-up or whatever (an easy to use mute button can come in useful!).
