The papaya is very concentrated, so it can cause a white cast if too much or not enough water. My other fav is bamboo ginseng as a topper when it’s really humid. It came out great.
@BrittanyMia2 жыл бұрын
I haven’t seen much of a difference between the two but they are both very concentrated. They seem really similar. Thanks 😊
@monicamitchell5382 жыл бұрын
@@BrittanyMia yea, their pretty similar. I feel like papaya has a little more slip and bamboo is better for high humidity for my really course hair, so I use them interchangeably. When I need a quick wash and go I’ve also used the curl mix system with I create hold on top (It’s not great for me by itself). I bought the travel set months ago for a cruise. It’s a good backup option for me when I need something quick because the base gel doesn’t make my hair as tangly as Uncle and I can get through my hair faster; unfortunately I haven’t found anything better that the Uncle, Hold and Papaya or Ginseng combo, those will be my staple for now.

I’m going to retry the botanical gel approach. It hasn’t worked for me in a humid environment, with my high porosity hair. Plus my hooded dryer has helped the style setting
@BrittanyMia2 жыл бұрын
It’s pretty humid where I am too, but using a topper gel over a botanical gel helps slow down the effect of the humidity on my hair. Hooded dryers are the MVP for setting my wash and go’s.

NICE, as usual! I LOVE THE TREPADORA PRODUCTS. This Trepadora Papaya Slip has a lot of slip for me. I was pleasantly surprised. I also like I don't need a lot of product. I tried their leave in and oil which I also like.
@BrittanyMia2 жыл бұрын
Thanks! There has been a bit of a learning curve for me, but I’m starting to fall for Trepadora as well. At first, I hated the hair rinse. I thought it was too gentle and not very good with cleansing. However, this is a great detangling shampoo! It’s perfect after a balancing shampoo. That’s good to know, I’m gonna put those on my list to try.

I am glad you continued with using this line. Although it is expensive, you definitely do not need to use a lot since it is concentrated. I look forward to your videos, just to see what products you are going to use next. Have an enjoyable Thanksgiving.

Hey! Love this video and the attention to detail! I was wondering: When/Why you started using quiet calm as a leave-in ? What have you noticed when you use it before UFD?
@BrittanyMia2 жыл бұрын
👋🏾 thank you! I started using it as a leave-in when I first tried it. I noticed, when I was a part of the See Some Curls community, that it was listed as a topper, but it’s absolutely not for me. It has no hold and is much more of a moisturizing product. When I used it, I found it to be a light cream that mixed well with Curly Magic. I have only used it a few times and I can’t quite remember how much I liked it, but I know that it worked pretty good as a leave-in.

@@BrittanyMia Yeah a topper with no hold. Personally I don’t use leave-in. Have you tried styling with only UFD+ICH + PS alone?
