Glad you caught the pre cancerous spot early on and hope it all heals up before the reunion! Thanks as always for the videos. They have been so helpful in my tirzepatide experience. Always timely and always full of relevant info. Celebrating today as I've hit 60lbs loss today :) 22 weeks in and holding at a 7.5mg dose for as long as it keeps working. This is the lowest I've been in years and years. Recently I have been focused on learning about skin health and doing everything I can to improve my skin as the weight comes down, so far so good! We always have so much in common! Laraine: I also had my dermatologist check up and had a precancerous spot frozen, started tretinoin, and I am now using Elta MD UV Clear 46. Christopher: I love cheesecake and we went in to a specialty cheesecake shop. I took 2 bites and gave it to my husband. It was so sweet and the taste was definitely not worth the calories. I'm very ok with not wanting to eat sweets since that has been my downfall over the years. Spicy things taste just fine! PS I am getting up the courage to start my youtube channel. It will focus on things I have learned being a licensed professional counselor and in life in general including my GLP1 journey. I am so hesitant about being on the internet, so wish me luck! 🙏

Yes, I’ve experienced the altered “sweetness”, as well. I am a sweet-tooth and LOVED eating sweets, especially chocolate. Although since taking Zepbound I find that the sweets I used to love tasting and eating are now way too sweet. I’m grateful for that though, because I no longer have the desire to eat sweets like I used to! Thanks for sharing Christopher.

I’m with Christopher! It’s often like a taste of sweet-n-low in my mouth all the time. Even my plain water tastes sweet. My husband has a similar experience.

Ever since the beginning of Mounjaro, I have had a menthol feeling in my eyes and nose. It's as if I had Vick's Vapo-Rub on my chest and the way the feeling wafts up into the eyes and nose. I don't feel anything on my chest, just the scent/feeling of menthol. When I started with Mochi and got compounded tirzepatide, I did a test dose of 2.5 mg. and within 4 hours, had the menthol experience. It was clear that the compounded tirzepatide was, in fact, the real deal. I've met others who have had the same feeling... including my daughter. As you both know, I've had a lot of weird stuff in my life... one is Stage 2 Malignant Melanoma, 4 times. I've had those 4 cut out of me via major surgery and then too many of those pre-cancerous cells frozen off, too. Fun times. But I promise, WAY better than surgery to remove cancer. I'll take the icy freeze any day. Word to the wise: Do not lie out in the Florida sun with Crisco and Baby Oil on your white, freckled skin... especially when you have blue eyes. True story. I'm down to 147 lbs. today - minus 258 lbs. now. I start Ozempic today and while I am cranky about it, I do hope it slows down, _or stops,_ the weight loss. Enough is enough. Great show, as always!

I am interested in the fading efficacy of the medication over time. I am on my 4th month and down 41lbs (160 to go). I am really worried about topping out at 15 mg (on 7.5mg now) and having the food noise & sugar cravings comimg back. At some point, I would really like to hear you have a deeper conversation about this aspect of the "journey". ❤

I've been on 15 mg. Mounjaro or compounded tirzepatide for 10 months and the efficacy has never waivered. I am starting Ozempic 2 mg. today because of insurance requirements (they changed, not me) and _now_ I am worried about losing all the progress I have made over the last 2.5 years. After 10 months on 15 mg., I have no concerns about it ever waning on me. YMMV.

I’m really interested to see what your next BUD dates are on your mochi order and I wish we could find out what they’re doing to extend those BUD dates. Right now I’m covered for the next three or four months, but I want to change providers and I’m thinking of going to Mochi if I can get three or four months at a time before that court deadline of November 21st, but the BUD dates need to work.

Mochi BUD dates are very short, like 28-30 days. I've called Mochi and they are not able to provide rationale. I called Aequita multiple times before the recent events and no one ever returned my call. I was thinking about changing telehealth company but now I'm not going to for obvious reasons. They do not allow more than 1 month supply at this point.

I'm kinda doubting these BUD dates. How are they calculated? If the vials are refrigerated and unpunctured, I wonder how long they are really good for. When I got meds from Hallendale, their BUD dates were 1 year out! Not sure what makes a difference in determining BUD dates.

My snoring and sleep apnea also went away. The metal taste in the mouth is typically from ketones.

CD: I have seen the talk about ketones and I don’t think that this is that - it’s not really a metal taste it’s some side effect of these meds that causes the inside of my lip mostly to be dry and give a metallic feel

Guess what. I decided to get Botox this yesterday ha ha 😆 my skin is very drippy and my forehead used to have 4 lines and now it’s like 6-8 lines and I did Thermage in my neck. I would have done the Botox for the HS reunion 😊

Mary, I recently had a few days like that and panicked and asked my doctor to increase my dose. By the time I got to talk to her, the feelings passed, so I decided to stay put. I have a list of things from my therapist that I can use to distract myself. Guided meditation has helped. Search on KZbin for something that fits your vibe. I also go for a walk or make some herbal tea. Also, if you like any kind of crafting, that helps… you can’t eat when your hands are busy! 😉
