Thanks so much as always. I’m a Medicare recipient paying for compounded tirzepatide. I did pay out of pocket for branded Zepbound for a while, but why spend an extra $700/month for brand when compounded works just as well. I hope to be well into maintenance by 2026, so I do hope Medicare considers maintenance dosing. A bipartisan congress will have to overturn the “ Medicare Prescription Drug Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003” in order for this to happen. Hopefully with the support of advocates like Sen. Bernie Sanders this will become a reality.

I’m on WW clinic and the app does allow tracking points and closing the circles for protein, fiber and water. The points are just different. I had 27 points until I lost 31 lbs now I have 23. The app just updated this week.

You can monitor your points, as well as your protein intake while utilizing the GLP-1 option in Weight Watchers.

WW publishing that they are going to start offering compounded GLP1 tells me that they feel the EPA will continue to allow access to it.

I do have points on my app u have to slide protein page to the left and my points will come up. But u don’t get no extra or weekly points… I only use it for tracking but I have gotten use to what I eat now so probably will be canceling

Isn’t that Medicare change the one that is only going to give them to people who’ve been on a GLP1 the year before going onto Medicare? It doesn’t cover people already on Medicare. That’s my understanding.

I have been inundated with WW TikTok ads lately. They are pretty cringy to me for some reason. My employer covers no weight loss treatments, neither surgeries nor medications. We are fairly small (around 220 people), so it’s probably (short term) cost prohibitive. 🤷‍♀️

Me! I don’t want to switch to their pen! I’ll take their product in a vile those pens malfunction too often and you have to learn how to use them. I actually don’t mind the vile and the insulin needle at all. I would prefer to stick to that.

CD: I haven’t seen data on pen malfunctions - but I have never had a problem with one. And they are significantly easier and faster to use than the vial and needle. That being said I will happily take it however I can get it

I’ve not had one pen malfunction. If there was a problem in the past, I’m not seeing it now.

I’ve done 28 pen injections… never had one malfunction. They seem pretty foolproof to me. 🤷‍♀️
