In The Ex Hex a spell goes wrong and her cat can suddenly speak, but all he does is yell “treats!” at her. I am pretty sure that would be my cat 😂

I squealed hearing you say you read a Fear Familiar book. They were my gateway to harlequin as a teenager. We would go to a cottage every summer and I would buy whatever one I could fine and read it there, a cat solving mystery and matchmaking really made teenage me happy. I still own them all and can remember vividly one of them with a reporter.
