You know Elvis would have loved the RIDE on the top of that tower, especially since he was on the Zippin Pippin ride so much! Lol! We were married in Las Vegas and stayed at the Stratosphere in november 2016. It was awesome! Again a very nice video Spa Guy!

This was fun. Nice video. If you go back, you made a major rookie mistake paying the $20. Just have lunch at Windows on the World on 106 and the elevator ride is free. The lunch won't cost much more. You can still go upstairs after lunch (if level 106 isn't high enough) and it doesn't cost any more.

Just about a half mile south of Stratosphere is where the old "new Frontier"(often called simply "Frontier" stood. In 1956 Elvis played his first show there in nov. 1956. A 1 week engagement and he bombed. Frontier was torn down in 2007 and was my favorite place to stay in Vegas.

Nope never in a million years would I jump off there. I get dizzy jumping off my porch! And I may have fainted for a brief moment watching that green arm thing fling them in a circle. I can't spin in my office chair without getting sick.😂😂 thank you for being courageous enough to show me stuff I've never seen.❤

when I went to las vegas, in 99, none of my friends wanted to go to the free fall that is on the tower and I missed it :(, but hey, thanks billy for approaching the feeling of being up there !!!, Postscript, none of those jumpers would have dared to jump the graceland fence! jjaaj thanks billy!

across the street from stratosphere is where the old Sahara was located. parts of the movie Viva Las Vegas were shot there. Sahara had the most expensive suite in vegas, which is where Elvis and Ann-Margret stayed. 15 years ago there was a roller coaster on the top of stratosphere called the high roller. I rode it once and you can still see the braces where the coaster was attached.

I truly don't know how some people can ride those rides or work up there. That's 1149 feet. I went up in reunion tower, the ball in Dallas and it is 561 feet. I had to go back down as soon as I got up there. You are brave to have gone up there.

Crazy ! I'm with you Mr. Billy Stallings for you would NOT catch me doing that either. I'm not scared of heights but I wouldn't do this one. People are totally nuts !!!!!!! That is a job I wouldn't want...that young lady. I wonder if they would have to sign a waiver on the jump and rides on the top of the Stratosphere ? A cool view though. Back at you and tighten up.

ok, there are 2 connections between ABBA and Elvis in Las Vegas. 1. in the movie "ABBA in concert, there is a clip from looking into the windshield with the reflection of the "International". International is where Elvis played, though at the time Elvis had passed away 2 years prior. 2. Elvis was married at the OLD "Aladdin". ABBA played 1 and only 1 show ever in Vegas, at the old Aladdin in 1979. side note, mike tretow , the sound engineer for ABBA was a huge Elvis fan. back in the 1970s-80s, before the tower, the place was called,,"vegas world". the stories of this place then are legend. vegas world was a one of a kind place. created by the late Bob Stupak, a poker player you can see on re-runs of poker shows. vegas world was un organized, everything goes kind of place. Stupak started the stratosphere, but sold out before completion. I have ridded the big shot 2 times. EVERY female who rides big shot SCREAMS the whole time.

I look at it this way. I've done some crazy stuff before. Jumped out if helicopters hanging on a rope,etc. But Jesus was taken to a cliff and told by Satan to throw himself off and He said, "Do not test the Lord your God" , and HE wouldn't jump, so who am I to test it out!!!! The rides I would have done when I was younger. I don't think my cardiologist wants me to test my pacemaker that way these days!!!! Lol

Lol yes I’d probably do it also , I can fly in a small plane & not bother me but I have trouble with being up in places like that ... I’ve been up in the San Jacinto Monument in Houston Texas & you could Literally feel the tower swaying back & fourth ... lol 😂 it’s not the falling that hurts it’s that sudden stop that gets you 😂 also it be neat if they added some rusty creaking sounds to that insanity ride as it’s first slowly moving out over the edge 👍🏻
