You guys are SO on the money. This is actually the extended mix and not the single mix; the single mix is under 3 minutes which, when I first heard this track, I said that I felt this could've been a great Eurovision track so I'm chuffed you guys made that same observation. Doesn't matter it is the extended as the production is identical to the single edit. Also worth noting that by this point, due to the pandemic, Kylie had learned how to record all of her own vocals with her own mobile recording kit. She recorded all of her Disco album vocals herself and continued that trend with 'Tension'. The clip was film in Los Angeles. You're correct that the diner and the hotel room have all featured in a lot of other films and film clips (Grease 2 comes to mind). I'm really happy you guys are getting to explore our Kylie. Us Aussies are generally so proud of her and the fact that she has had such a long, successful career. She still has people who want to knock her but the proof is in the pudding, right?

I've never been a Kylie fan (I've always preferred Dannii and her music) but I have never been one to deny Kylies credentials. She's a great artist with such a varied and interesting back catalogue of music. 'Padam' was the unexpected comeback from Kylie that I didn't expect but I really enjoyed. 'Tension' was equally as fantastic. But the Kylie song I really got in to unexpectedly but in a big way was back in 2010 off the Aphrodite album. The song was called 'Mighty Rivers'. We were driving to Runswick Bay in the North of England and we played that song incessantly! It really reminds me of that trip. An uplifting, beachy summer song that works perfectly when you're on a journey on the motorway. The sun shining, windows down and just relax!

Kylie never changed her genre or sounds. This is euro-pop-dance which will never goes outfashion. She is comfortable and knows her limitations. She doesnt come with this arrogance of inventing the wheel. This is her style for the past... i dont know, 20 years. She doesnt try to be the next taylor or katy or beyonce... its kylie doing her own thing. Some albuns were praise, some were forgot. Some hits are still bangers, others not so much. Obvious the release time, matters. Sometimes some songs got lost in the sea of pop/dance, some like Padam Padam were somehow the few that were memorable. Im glad she is still been Kylie and not pretending to be something else (like Gaga, that in the process lost herself, and now im glad she found herself and knows exactly what to deliever or like Nelly Furtado, that she need it to step away to take care of her mental) or just running for the next hit style (madonna sadly is just trying to jump into the next genre train). Im glad that Kylie is having fun, enjoying her life and making the music she wants.
