Hi! We talked on Instagram once and I told you about how me and my husband have been trying for over a year and a half to get pregnant. I am happy to report that I am currently 6 weeks pregnant!!! We are over the moon but super nervous! My first ultra sound is the 21st of this month and our baby is the size of a blueberry! God bless you and your family and pray that I get only good news at my first appointment! 😊❤❤❤

I cannot believe your baby boy is about to be here!!! I don't have any growth scan experience because my doctor either didn't do one or didn't see anything out of the ordinary to tell me, but I will be praying for you, your little boy, and your whole family. It must be a little scary to think about bringing him here a whole different way than you have experienced before but everything will be okay and you will have that sweet bundle in your arms before you know it!! Thank you so much for the update. I saw your video come up yesterday and told my husband, "My KZbin girl posted!!!! 😊 I'm watching that tomorrow with my coffee!!" I just love your personality and positivity. You make being a stay at home mom a little less lonely and I appreciate that ♥️

My mom experienced shoulder dystocia with my delivery, and I did have low APGARS for the first 5 minutes due to lack of oxygen. It took the doctors a few minutes for get me to breath normally. The women in my family have 9+ lbs babies and we don’t have any GD or Preeclampsia in our family history. My brother was around 11 lbs and she didn’t have any trouble that we know of with him. My daughter was only 7 lbs 9 oz, and my doctors thought she was going to weigh at least 9 lbs! I was measuring huge and all belly! They were even considering c-sec for me. Every pregnancy is different. Congratulations on your sweet boy! I hope you have a safe and healthy delivery which ever route you decide is best!! 💙

Hi Jess! I had an emergency c section after 36 hours of labor that wouldn't progress. Honestly, the recovery was not bad! Don't be nervous! It was stressful because it was unplanned and emergent but you will do great. My son was 9lbs 7oz and not coming out lol We all prayed together before I went into surgery and it was a beautiful moment. God bless you and your beautiful family♡

Praying for you and your sweet boy! I was induced on my due date with my son (first baby) and after laboring for a few hours they told me he wouldn’t fit through my pelvis and trying to push would put him in distress. It was at that point the doctors and I decided to do an emergency c-section and I had a really great experience. My son was 8 lb 4 oz and very happy and healthy!

My ultrasounds for my son were honestly all over the place, but he was measuring behind instead of ahead. I wouldn’t put too much stock in those numbers, which I completely understand is easier said than done. My son was diagnosed with IUGR, which means that he wasn’t growing at the rate that he should have been so I was induced at 37 weeks and I had him via C section. The actual procedure, FOR ME, was nothing(in my opinion). You do feel some pulling and tugging, but it’s over fairly quickly. The recovery is what’s tougher, but it’s definitely nothing that you can’t handle. It’s just a different type of recovery than a vaginal recovery. But you are so strong, mama! You’ve got this! Prayers for a safe labor and delivery and a healthy mama and baby! ❤️

Hi L&D nurse here 👋🏻 One of the biggest things with determining whether to move forward with a vaginal delivery versus a c section is the size of the babies head relative to the babies abdomen. If the babies abdomen is measuring larger then the risk of a shoulder dystocia/the baby getting stuck is higher. Like you’ve said you’ve already had another baby before and that creates some more room in your pelvis. A lot of times if the baby is too big during labor we see lack of progress in labor as far as cervical dilation/baby coming down in the pelvis, simply because they can’t fit. I’ve personally done a delivery where baby was 10.8 pounds and there was no shoulder dystocia, it was also baby #2 to be born vaginally. Another option if your baby’s estimated weight qualifies to medically induce sometime during the 38th week for macrosomia. Like some other comments have mentioned you could also have an elective induction during the 39th week, they put on 1-2 pounds in that last week alone. The hospital I work at sees a lot of 39 week inductions and those babies are mostly 6-7 pounds occasionally larger. When we have term patients is when we see 8-9 pounders. At the end of the day remember our goal is always happy healthy mom & happy healthy baby 💞

I can’t believe baby boy will be here soon! So excited for your family! I had to have an emergency c section cause my placenta erupted. My L&D was a bit crazy but anyways... I just wanted to encourage you and let you know the c section wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be! My advice is if you have to have a c section... walk! Walk! Walk! As soon as you can start walking and it will help your healing process so much! Also, if you laugh, cough or sneeze hold a pillow on your incision. I promise it helps! Just know if you have to go the c section route it sounds a lot scarier then what it really is. I was quite surprised on how small my incision was and how low it was. Sometimes I forget that I have a scar. Know matter what happens you’re going to do great! Praying for you!! 🙏🏻

Hi Jess, I have had two scheduled c sections and was very happy with both. First c section was much easier than the second. I liked knowing when the birth would be and was able to plan accordingly. If you do have an elective/scheduled c section the process is very smooth.😊

I had so many similar experiences as you described with my boy. 🥰 Our son was born February 4th. My doctor was concerned with our baby’s size starting at my 32 week check up; he was measuring at 36 weeks! 😳 So she said she wasn’t going to let me go past my due date. We opted to be induced on the 3rd and due to some complications with his positioning, I had to have a c-section. Like you said, whatever way he comes that is safe and helps him be healthy is the goal. Praying for you and your sweet son! 💙

I am almost 29 weeks pregnant with baby girl #2!🎉 When I had our first daughter last year, her head was measuring very large...about 2 weeks ahead! My water actually broke right before I turned 38 weeks and she was born at 38 weeks on the dot! Her head was big, but weight wise she wasn’t too big. I had a very bad tear and hemorrhaged during delivery. Now, I’m pregnant again and my doctor and I are already talking about plans for this birth. I am possibly having a C-section because my tear was so bad and has been bothering me every since. Praying for you!!!!

I had a couple of growth scans at the end of my pregnancy as they were worried about bub measuring big. The scans said he was going to be big in the 98th percentile. We decided to induce from 38 weeks. And he was born at 8lbs 7. I would definitely recommend if it an option to have an early induction and then only move to a csection if necessary. For the most part or bodies don't grow babies bigger than we can birth. Good luck. Baby boy might be here sooner than we think!

Hi Jess I recently gave birth to my now 11w old boy. I came down with a sudden case of severe preeclampsia and HELLP, so there was no other option for me but to have a C-section within the hour. If it's any comfort, having the C-section was a very joyful experience, even though they had to be quick, since eclampsia could start any minute. So I would guess that one that is planned, would also be a good experience. I wish I didn't have to go through the preeclampsia stuff and given birth normally, so I get why you would have been upset the moment you found out about the possibility that you might have to. We all wanna do it "the right way". ❤️ But the point is to tell you, not to worry ❤️

Both of my boys were measuring 2-3 weeks ahead on their sonograms, and this is apparently extremely common! They were both in the 8 pound range. I definitely agree with seeing a chiropractor. That will help a lot! Membrane sweep isn’t bad but won’t work unless your body is ready (had it done twice with my second and still had to be induced at 40 wks!).

I don’t have personal experience with a big baby but I did have an emergency C-section due to going into labor at 40 weeks with a breech baby (we found out he was breech earlier that day!). As far as a C-section goes, it was not that bad for me. I know for others it can be horrific though. I didn’t have a reaction to the spinal anesthesia. I also have a high pain tolerance so I didn’t think the pain was very bad afterward and I never needed narcotics. I was also awake during the C-section, they did not need to put me under. The worst pain was my tailbone actually, from the way I sat in bed! And then of course healing after a C-section is trickier because you just had major abdominal surgery and have to be careful with the incision, can’t lift much, can’t bend over much, etc. With a first baby that wasn’t terrible but I can imagine that it would be more difficult with having a toddler as well! Regarding the shoulder dystocia and him looking like a big baby: first, scans can be incorrect. But even if it IS correct, it may be a problem with your pelvic alignment - so it is AWESOME that you’re seeing a chiropractor! Is the chiro Webster certified? Webster certified chiros are trained to work specifically with pregnant women. If I were in your shoes I’d be attacking this from an alignment standpoint, because women give birth to big babies all the time! A C-section isn’t the end of the world but it also isn’t inevitable. Can’t wait to hear what happens!! Healthy mom and healthy baby is the goal! 💗💙

Hi jess! My son is 14 months, so just a little bit younger than Elianna and I’m currently 12 weeks with TWINS! I don’t miss lightening crotch hah terrible name but it’s excruciating and horrible!! Also, don’t worry about having a massive baby! They’re always wrong! I had an u/s with my son at 37 weeks because I thought I was leaking amniotic fluid and they told me he was already 7,6-8,3...they thought I’d have a 9-10 lb baby!! He was born at 41 weeks at 6 lbs 10 oz and was small for gestational age 😂😂😂😂

My ultrasound when I was admitted to give birth, my son was estimated at 9.5 pounds plus. He came out a few hours later (39w5d)at 8 pounds 2 ounces. I had many, many USs ( Standard in Germany) and he always measured large. They told me his leg length and head circumference was valid for the estimated weight. He did not however have a thick fat layer ob his belly( via US). He was in fact long and lean. My SIL, a teeny tiny woman, had her first daughter, face up at 6,5 pounds and pushed forever. Her second weighed well over 9 pounds was nearly shot across the room on the second push. No issues. ETA I labored twice (both over 24 hours) and both times ended in sections ( due to coming chin first) . No regrets. Super fast recoveries. No pain meds needed once the epi wore off.

Ultra sound weight is always off by 1 1/2 lbs off. My daughter was to be 7.8 lbs an she was 6.05! So I’m not thinking you have to worry. Make sure you ask the Endocrinologist about hashimoto’s disease, my daughter has it, she also has issues with high and lows, nothing seems to help it stay the same. I would go for the striping an go for delivery early! Good luck, I will pray for a safe and easy delivery.

My first baby I was told he would be close to 8 lbs, and he was 7 lbs 9 ounces. My 2nd baby I was told he would be bigger and he was born via csection and my doctor literally said oh he’s 9 lbs as soon as she got him out. Sure enough he was 9 even. I spent 17 hours in labor with my 2nd and ended in a section. It was an emotional experience for me, but I’d do it all over for him. Let me say, it was emotional because it was not expected to end in section. It was net GREAT, and he was healthy. The recovery is hard.. especially when you have to tend to a baby and a toddler, but after about 5 weeks it gets better.

The last couple weeks of my pregnancy, I went to see a family friend chiropractor and she said my hips were out of line, so, it's a good thing you're going. My son was 9 lbs 11 oz and I had him vaginally with IV pain meds. He was 4 days past due and I was induced. I pushed for an hour and nobody, including the doctor, thought he was gonna be that big. My sister in law had to have c sections with both of her babies because they were big babies. Sometimes doctors just want to do the c sections for that sole reason. I wouldn't let him being bigger affect that. I would only get the c section if you are worried about him getting stuck, not because of his size.

Both were at 39 weeks c sections. My 4th daughter was measuring along the 30th percentile and started to drop off at the end I knew and felt she would be a bit smaller than my middle 2 and sure enough she was 8lb 1.5oz at 39 weeks! Both my kids were too big for my pelvis. Unfortunately we tried to have a regular delivery even though my daughter was measuring large and she was struggling and could have had damage so that was an emergency c section. My second child was also too large so I had a second c section. I didn’t have any bad experiences with them and was fortunate they both were healthy in the end.

Hey. I love watching you and your family grow:) I would like to share my scary birth with shoulder dysplasia... But it's a not so nice story so don't get to scared. So I went into the doc for what I thought was labor on Friday but they sent me home saying it was false labor but wanted me to go back on Monday to get my blood pressure recheched. It had came back high. So on Monday I went back my blood pressure was 165 and I had gained 6 pounds over the weekend. They sent me over to labor and. Delivery right away to be induced because of my severly high blood pressure and gastational hypertension . So that was all scary in itself but.. I had 3 failed induction they ended up breaking my water and I got an epidural at 5 cm dilated. Btw I was ready to push I had already been in labor for 40 hrs and I pushed for 4 hrs in the end his head was stuck and in a split of a second it went from 3 of us in my room to 20 doc NICU nurses. My epideral had failed on my entire left side and I was unable to move myself since only half of my body was not numb. Nurses and doc were all over me holding me,moving me into different positions.i felt everything and I blacked out and bled out. By the time they realized just how dangerous the situation was the two doc shoved their hands both inside and just ripped him out. He came out lifeless and blue the cord was wrapped around his neck so tight. He wasn't breathing. I blacked out and kept on bleeding out. I was also on two rounds of anibiotics cus I spiked a high fever super quick. By the time NICU had gotten him breathing .he stopped again. Then they got him breathing again. My poor husband was standing next to me watching myself and our son fight for our lives. They finally got him somewhat stabilized and we both got to hold him for a short amount of time. My doc left the room with two nurses cus they couldn't hold back their tears. When she came back to deliver my placenta and stich me up she had composed herself. She and 15 other doc cleaned up all the blood and helped me get cleaned up. She said our son was stuck and lifeless for 5 minutes they start to worry around 8 min because a lot of babys would be dead or brain dead. He went straight to NICU. I ended up with fourth degree tearing which is the worse you could get. I couldn't walk for 3 days .my hubby had to push my wheel chair up to NICU to see our baby boy. He was born at 38 weeks at 8 pounds 7 oz. I wasn't allowed to go up and see him until I was stabilized myself . So whole 25 hrs before I got to see him again. Hubby went back and fourth between us. He had sever bruising all over him and had to be on the breathing tube and feeding tube and bili blanket. His jaundice got so bad he had to be under the light also and we couldn't touch or hold him . After a week and half in the hospital for both of us we went home. But we had to see our pediatrician everyday for two weeks straight. During that time he had to get his bilirubin checked which is a blood draw heel prick. It got worse so I didnt to go back to NICU. They offered the equipment to be sent to our home.. he is now a healthy happy one year old as of a week ago:) doc said we both are very very lucky to be alive and any further pregnancy will be a high risk and c section. Oh I almost needed a blood transfusion from how much I lossed. But even tho we went through soooo much ❤️ we are so thankful for all the doc and nurses who saved our lives. I would be extra cautious with your baby birth. Seeing how mine went from 0 to 100 in a blink of an eye. Good luck tho and congrats on your beautiful family 💝 I hope my birth didn't scare you to much

I ended up being induced at 38+4 due to pre eclampsia. Labored well and everything. When it came time to push, she wasn’t descending enough so they tried to use the vacuum multiple times. That was unsuccessful so I ended up having an emergency C-section. She was 6lbs 9oz. We aren’t sure if she was lodged against my pelvis in a position that was hard for her to descend, but the photos we have of her after birth, you can kind of tell that was the case. Her ear on one side was morphed weird from the position she was in! Now pregnant with #2 and are going to do an elective C-section due to the risks of vaginal delivery outcome being the same as my first pregnancy.

I am 34wks and due Sept 23! I am a possible c-section candidate too if baby girl doesn't turn head down..I have an appt Aug 31 where they're going to book me one if she's still breeched. I really hope she turns, it's my first baby, but in the end it's up to her.. However I also wanted to add that my mom actually had an emergency c-section with my younger brother because he was 10lbs and he got stuck while she was pushing. A bit scary for her but otherwise everything went fine, he was just too big! Good luck and hoping you get a natural birth if it is safe to do so!

I’m 39 weeks & 5 days and my baby boy is estimated at 8.13 as of yesterday. My doctor says I’m not in the place where I need a csection but I’m still worried about how big he is! I’d rather have a planned csection than an emergency one bc he happens to be that big. I have heard from a lot of women that these ultrasounds can be soooo off so I’m trying not to worry but it’s definitely hard!

I think it would be so helpful and informative if parents received a birth write up from the hospital so we know all the details of the birth! I feel like I don’t know anything! Maybe other hospitals do this?

What if your doctor induce the labor before the 40 weeks so maybe you can avoid a c section? Is that a posibility

First, women are rockstars, YOU are a rockstar and our bodies can do amazing things. I know you are very concerned about his weight and the possibility of shoulder dystocia and I have some experience with both. At my 39+6 week ultrasound my daughter was measuring between 9 and 11lbs. I was scheduled for an induction immediately the next morning due to her size. I pushed for 2 hours and she was born 9lbs 3oz, so on the lower side of the estimate! So ultrasounds can definitely be pretty off. Second, my step sister had shoulder dystocia and due to the forceful nature in which she was pulled out, she was left with permanent nerve damage in her neck/shoulder to where she cannot lift her arm properly/throw balls/participate in gym class, etc and she has a bit of an asymmetrical look to her. But she is perfect in every way and thriving in life regardless and most people actually don’t even notice any difference! So yes, shoulder dystocia can result in some very serious complications. But like I said above, women are rockstars and our bodies can do amazing things. I have a smaller pelvis and I pushed out an over 9lb baby and I think that you could do it too! But if your doctor is truly concerned about his size at his next ultrasound and she really wants you to have a c section, then I know you will do great and just be glad to have a healthy boy as a result. I wish you nothing but healthy safe delivery for both you and your baby boy!

Jessica Nook, I took my Burger King foods home on Aug. 21. With my "16-ounce" OXO bottles, I squeezed French's mustard and Hunt's ketchup on my plain "double whopper with cheese" that I ate. I squeezed mustard and ketchup into my small condiment cup and stirred 'em altogether so I dipped my large portion of fries. I drank my soft drink. Besides your channel, I love "SuperJess TV", starring Jessica Valencia and her husband and children. Jessica's daughter named Lillie stars on "Lillie Quinn TV". 😃💗😃💗😃💗

I had an emergency c-section with my son, and I have been told that any other babies would have to be delivered via c-section. I would listen to your doctor, if she's concerned, then go with the c-section. The positive of a c-section, is that you can plan around it, and either have your mother or husband with you and the other with your little girl. However, I won't lie and say recovery is a walk in the park. But sometimes, us mamas have to just put our children's health first. It's rough, and a lot of us have some strong emotions about not being able to birth them naturally - but a healthy baby is all we can ask for, right?

Also reading up on C-sections is one of the worst things you can do. If I had read up on them beforehand, I would have been scared to death. But after having one and been through the process, it's less scarier living through it.

My last baby was measuring at 7lbs 3oz at 37 weeks so when I finally went into labor with her at 41+2, we were expecting her to be around 8.5 pounds. She cane out 6lbs 9oz. Those growth scans are not always accurate. I wouldn’t worry about him being that big.

@@emilylove6888 I'm just glad everything went smoothly in the end. I learned that my pelvis is too narrow for childbirth. However, I still stand by my statement if my husband was in the room when they first got me out of the bed afterwards and saw the trail to and from the bathroom, that we'd be one and done. I think I ended up staying an extra day because I recovered a little slower than average.
