Okay, someone usually mentions this in the comments, but it doesn't look like they have yet, so -- Job is played by Peter Davison, who was the Fifth Doctor in _Doctor Who_ and is also David Tennant's father-in-law. (Tennant met his wife when she played "the Doctor's daughter.") Ty Tennant, who plays Job's son, is David and Georgia Tennant's son. He was also on _House of the Dragon._

The book connection was that Gabriel was alphabtizing his books by the first letter of the first sentence of each one. That is downright evil. The demons really should be taking notes lol.

The fact this book exists within their universe means there are people writing Aziraphale/Crowley fan fiction within their universe. There’s an excellent fic where Crowley is writing pining slow burn fics about them holding hands and flowershop AUs, while Aziraphale is secretly posting hardcore kink fic, and they become AO3 friends without recognizing each other.

Back in season 1 episode 3, when we see Crawly protesting the Flood, she says “You can’t kill kids!?” while they are watching children and young goats (also called kids) run by. This demon has a consistent soft spot for baby humans and baby goats and I love the recurring visual pun so much. In the moment Aziraphale steps up to Bildad-Crawly and says he’s sure the children are perfectly safe, he has more faith in a demon than in God. That gets passed over a bit for the drama of his first big lie, but I honestly think it’s more important. After all the foreshadowing about how awesome whales are I can’t wait for the Jonah flashback where they get swallowed like Pinocchio and make out in a whale tummy like two coworkers in a sitcom locked in the supply closet during the office holiday party then awkwardly decide to never speak of it again.

Hmmm sheltering under a canopy in the 🌧️ being how one falls in love with another….i wonder where Crowley got that idea, possibly in the first episode of S1 on the wall of Eden? Thats what I’m convinced of. Thoroughly enjoy your reactions and look forward to the rest. This whole season very much explores the two of them and their interactions with each other as it’s meant to bridge the first season and the third. ❤

If you remember last season the first episode in the garden it started raining and Aziraphale sheltered Crowley beneath the canopy of his wing, and in this season's first episode Crowley did the same thing during a meteor shower in space. They've literally played out Crowley's romantic scenario twice

It's pretty much agreed on that that miracle's power is due to it having been a combination of an angelic and a demonic miracle. That neither Aziraphale or Crowley intended for it to be so powerful. If this theory is accurate, it makes us think of how powerful a combined miracle would be if an angel and a demon were intentional about performing a miracle together (because, remember, they were trying to go unnoticed and the outcome was a miracle that "only the mightiest of archangels could have performed")

Everyone pulled in the car: Aziraphale driving, Crowley supervising, Muriel and Jimbriel playing cards in the back seat Also, "It was a nice day" is the first line of Good Omens, which gives all kinds of interesting implications

I need to point this out bc it's one of my favorite details and not nearly enough people are talking about it, when Jim is reading the different books to arange them again, the last book he opens is Good omens, which starts: "It was a nice day. All the days so far had been nice. There had been rather more than seven of them and rain hadn't been invented yet" This suggest that GO actually exists inside the universe and it's just so funny to me

Those goats are so cute! Love the mini family reunion David has this episode with his FIL and son 😁 (Job and his son, respectively) The book Gabriel reads that starts with "It was a good day" is Good omens itself. I'm really curious what the meta implications of this are in-universe? 🤔😅 The records in the jukebox all turning into the same thing is a reference to the book, where any tape left in the Bentley for more than 2 weeks turned into the Best of Queen, hence why there's so much Queen on the soundtrack 😅, which I don't remember being mentioned in s1. So, in s1 Crowley says he's had the car for 90 years without a scratch and Zira has had his license for 90 years just ~4 years later? 👀😅 Crowley is such a softy at heart, he'd never hurt those goats, I imagine he sees himself in them even, being cast out just for questioning heaven. He's also absolutely whipped, he was never going to win that argument over the car 😅 and Zira uses that to his full advantage, I'd imagine 😅 Slowly but surely making our way through the season, I'm excited to see the rest of your reactions 😁💜🏳️‍🌈😇🐍

I'm glad you like these! You should definitely check out Dead Boy Detectives next! Its also inspired by a Neil Gaiman property so has similar vibes in some ways, but is a lot more like Buffy since they have a sort of monster of the week vibe (which I know you like!).

Why are you saying, "What did you do?" to Aziraphale about the miracle? I'm pretty sure the two of them did it together. (The synergy of love.) We don't really want him to miracle Nina to be in love with Maggie, do we? Wouldn't that be even worse than making a prophecy about it? Sorry I seem to be arguing with you a lot this episode. :)
