I just realized that the only two times we see Crowley deliberately take his sunglasses off to make someone see how angry he is is the “I long to destroy Job’s children” scene and the “and I did not care for it” scene and idk what to do with that information

When it came to Job, I think it was about him wanting Az to remember that he was a demon, as he’d started implying that he was nice and stuff by that point already and he needed his shields in place. But with Gabriel, I reckon that was because that scene just wouldn’t have had the same kick without seeing his eyes. We needed to see the emotion in them when he expressed that painful anger.

I always thought it was a bit of emotional vulnerability, even when he's angry in those moments. Which makes it even more sad for me when he takes his glasses off to confess to Aziraphale but then promptly puts them back on when he is rejected.

i was super stoned when i watching this season for the first time so most of it felt like a strange fever dream with the magic show and zombie nazis and exploding halo and the scene where crowley turns into alice in wonderful (shrinks really small then growing huge) and the jane austen style dancing scene etc i truly was like wtf is happening but i enjoyed the absurdity of it all mostly. i wish there had been a mature conversation between arizaphale and crowley about their feelings for each other, looking forward to that most in season 3!

I disagree. I think fans are selling Aziraphale short thinking he made that decision because he's brainwashed. I think he knows how bad heaven is and genuinely feels obligated to protect earth and humanity from it. He thought he'd found a way to protect his demon and creation. I don't think Aziraphale could have found peace going on on their own because he'd worry too much about heaven hurting Crowley and/or humans. Now, he definitely showed lack of insight into Crowley's feelings, said hurtful things and wasn't listening to Crowley, but Crowley did the same.

Crowley has a streak of selfishness at heart, and he loves Aziraphale, and admires him, because Aziraphale does NOT. Aziraphale doesn't understand what he is truly asking of Crowley: He is asking him to betray HIMSELF, and that is, perhaps, the only thing he cannot do.

I think he's like a toddler. Or maybe a 5-year-old. Almost EVERYTHING is new to him (like not knowing the word "author") and he doesn't know to be scared of new & different things. That shows a truly immature view of love. Are you one of those people who think that if someone doesn't do as they're asked it can only be because they don't love the asker? Crowley was asking Aziraphale to abandon humanity and creation so they two of them could be happy, a truly selfish action, as well as a nonsensical one, because if Heaven targeted earth/humans, they'd surely target hell and demons. Going off with Crowley without would leave everything he loves, including Crowley, vulnerable to destruction.
