I saw Steve-O live just before the pandemic, and it blew me away when at the end of the show he basically said "anybody who wants something signed will get it signed, everyone who wants a picture will get a picture" and actually did it. It makes sense that it's stressful and draining; I really hope though that he has a sense of how awesome that makes everyone at his shows feel and how much they stand out as rad events. He was cranking out pictures and signatures with amazing efficiency, and still managing to make it feel like he appreciated everyone who came.

It's a shame Steve-o has such a negative outlook on video games or people who watch people play video games. We watch/listen him have conversations with his friends every week, why are we doing that when we can just go have conversations with OUR OWN friends? Sure, we can do it ourselves, but it's also entertainment and we watch it because podcasts are basically a high octane version of that, and there's a way to monetize it professionally. Video games have the same failure-failure-failure-success loop you mentioned in skateboarding. They’re for fun and challenging yourself. Also as your other hosts said there are ways to make money off of them, not just for competitors but for people who get into developing themselves. Technology is at the point where anyone who has the determination can make a video game by themselves and make a living if they’re successful.

@tysonq71312 жыл бұрын
@@Ottophil You don’t progress. The point is having a goal and working toward it. Pain doesn’t have to be the only negative feedback. Just like doing an ollie the value you get out of it is what you and the people around you put on it. Similarly to skateboarding you can make friends in the gaming community and compete if you want, and if you’re in the top 5% you can make a lot of money on it. It’s all recreation. Yeah skateboarding has the bonus of physical exercise, but saying games are a waste of time is like saying music is a waste of time.

if it wasn't for videogames, I wouldn't have spent as much time on the internet, watching videos about science and nature, wouldn't have any culture about most of the subjects I now have under my belt, would definietely not have gained any interest in the field I'm now working on, having a majored and soon getting a doctorate in microscopy in biomolecular science, would only speak my native language and my periods of drugs and partying would have been much longer and would maybe not have ended as well. Video games is part of who I am and the culture I have, have a good portion of the friends I have and wouldn't trade for anything in this world, the reason I had so much time to cultivate my interest in so much different subjects, one of the reason I know jackass and follow you, and I may not be famous (which I am more than happy not to be tbh, seems horrible), but my dude I couldn't be any more grateful to have been put in front of a computer by my parents at such a young age. Yes you can have an awesome life while " " " " wasting your time " " " " on video games, yes you can get laid with chicks way out of your league while being a nerd because you actually have something interesting to say, and comparing where I am at with all of the fuckers who told me I was wasting my lfie on video games, I'd tell them to stop wasting theirs telling people how to live their lives and focusing on theirs ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ am kinda surprised to hear such a judgemental and negative view on video games coming from steve, literally the luckiest guy on earth that got away with wasting his body, money and life away on drugs and irresponsible decisions tbh. if that worked for him, why wouldn't video games work for other people ? TLDR: video games or not, to each their own, stop being judgemental and keep an open mind about everything, you never know what suprising thing a field or activity can add to your life. Like most things tho, everything done in excess can be detrimental, socialising and getting laid as much as video games drugs or food. be responsible and everything can teach and get you good things in life.

My mom went to high school with Jason. She told me he used to skate around the school and everyone loved him and he was super friendly and always treated my mom nice. That makes me happy because my mom used to get bullied for having a big butt yeah seriously.. nowadays people go through surgery just for that crazy what people get bullied for ends up being trendy. Can’t wait to watch this one!🤍

Man those boards are sick. & that shine from the silk reminds me of one of my favorite boards back in the day the BAKER red black and white (around ‘05) and how it just pops and makes you want to buy one instantly. Same with the Zero Skeleton boards. Dope! Salute to you guys. Def want one to throw on my wall. (Had to stop skating a few years back because of surgeries from colon cancer)

The video game argument is totally preposterous. “How does it get you paid or laid?”- bro, it’s entertainment. How does going to the movies, watching tv or reading a book get you paid and laid? It doesn’t. You do it because it’s a fun way to kill time and escape the bullshit of modern life. We’re not all millionaires my man
