the way it was incorporated is actually beautiful. I don’t know why but Run, Raven, Run made me tear up, it’s such a beautiful song, especially the build up at the end.

@@Memorywholed I really disagree personally! the only miss for me was Summer, and 3/4 is definitely not bad. Spring is a mood lifter (and a super fun listen), Autumn has some of the catchiest stuff they've ever written, and Winter has some of the best writing Rivers has done since the 90s. "I Want a Dog" is honestly becoming one of my favorite tracks post-Pinkerton.

@@Memorywholed I enjoyed each one more and more as each sznz album was released. I think spring, autumn and winter were my favorites and as a whole all four are a really incredible collection to have put out over the course of a year. Looking forward to owning a physical set!

Thanks man! Nope the Ableton projects for PS also had a midi drum track, piano, and some guitars recorded DI into an amp sim. I don't have Guitar Rig or the virtual drummer he uses so I exported the vocals and started from scratch in Protools. (really liked your take on it by the way)

Yea this one was put together pretty quickly, and putting together the rest of the bridge into a final chorus is definitely something I would have done if I gave myself more time. I have a full length mix for “She’s Just a Girl” and a cover mix of “You’re prettier than you think” though if you haven’t checked those out already!

Honestly I think this would’ve been a great closer for White. It seems sad but also seems like it would really fit the album. Maybe they could’ve done a double song track where it also transitions into Endless Bummer.

thanks! It’s a Les Paul going direct into a couple Amplitube amp sims. Blended a Marshall JCM 800 and a Mesa Boogie Dual Rec together and double tracked both amps. Iirc the second verse uses a pitch shifter with the Marshall and its layered in there during the second chorus. I would have gone with a Mesa Boogie MKIII (closest sim I have to the Blue album’s MKI) but I’m not super confident in working with that amp. Hoping to dig into it one day though because those tones are great.

@@chaoticlove7988 Yea Weezerpedia has a really in depth write up for each Green track. It’s very similar to what I did actually. Double tracked Mesa Dual Rectifiers and Marshalls. It doesn’t say what model the Marshall was but I would guess that since Rivers was using a JCM 900 live, he would have probably gone that route for Green. Also used a Tube Screamer to push the front end of the Marshall in a few of the tracks.
