1. While I wait, anyone wanna learn some history? I was learning about the land of Zanj, which was the Arabic term for a lot of the East coast of Africa and going further inland. It translates to the land of black, and it was a major region of trade between Arabic merchants and the city-states along the coast. Great cities like Zanzibar grew around here. They traded many luxury goods including many different animal pelts, skins, tusks, shells, etc, alongside slaves, valuable stones, and most significantly fine gold dust from deeper inland. The Arabs referred to the merchants and peoples in these areas as 'sahel', or coast. That term evolved into Kiswahili, the language spoken by a lot of the people along those coasts. Isn't that interesting, aren't humans amazing.
