I love Max's subtle slight "at some of the wondering city we compete in." when referring to getting food and drink. lol

Hello. I am not sure to understand correctly the rule "Half of the time it took to dehydrate to rehydrate". Because, when my strategy of dehydration is only based on drinking water and then cutting it, it cannot be done in 4hours... does it ? Because, what I have heard from my coachses, we need to stop drinking about 18h ou 24h before going on the scale. But then, it does not work with your rule, as we indeed have only 2h to dehydrate... How are we supposed to plan our dehydration ?

That is a generic rule. I assume it is not meant for water loading or cutting protocols, especially those done for greater than 24 hours or on different days than competition day. Because if you cut water a day before, it's not practically possible (& not needed as well) to spend 12 hours to rehydrate when you have a 2-hour weighin

This seems counter-intuitive to me. I would've thought smashing the energy- and sugar-dense foods like chocolate would be a good way to go, and low GI foods like oats and rice would take too long to digest and release their energy. What's the thinking behind it?

Regular white rice is a fast digesting high glycemic carb I believe

@@alexp3997 You are correct for white rice (compared to brown), although it does depends somewhat on whether you prepare it and eat it straight away, or prepare it the night before and refrigerate over night. The latter increases resistant starches (and it's a fairly well-known "hack" for making white rice lower-carb, higher fibre).

I came on here hoping it was informative. Then he says only 3% haha come on dude, that's weak you don't even need to dehydrate for that little bit. Just take a dump. 10% is the general consensus. I turned this weak spit off.

Jonathan Harder Weightlifting is a 2 hour weigh in, you’re thinking of 24 hour weigh ins.

This has to be a troll comment. Just take a dump lol, that would be like a 5lb shit for someone at 145lbs which is on the lighter side of things.

Congrats for being able to dump on command 😂! And if your dumping 3% of body weight you need help!
