I don’t believe her. I absolutely feel she is using some type of weight loss drug or she had bariatric surgery. “I eat less and do Pilates.” I’m calling BS on that. Can people lose it without surgery or medicine? Sure-but they are a lot more passionate and don’t just say “I eat the same just less.” Whatever.

I think she talks in this nonchalant way because it’s a real insecurity and she wants to put not too much emphasis on the weight loss as if it wasn’t a big deal because she wants to seem less vulnerable in regards to it. I think it’s a subconscious protective mechanism, she spoke in the same manner in the show, glossing over it to get the topic over with kind of

Im in a lot of groups that talk about this show and others, and most people aren't that bothered by her talking about her weight so much as they are bothered by her hypocrisy (talks about fearing guys will judge her for her looks, then does that exact thing to Nick upon meeting him).

and her being emotionally abusive in general. Some people might have offhand gripes about her talking about weight, but it'snot the main issue.
@melomania13 күн бұрын
Nick lied to her. On multiple topics (cooking, looks, etc.). He was abusive in crossing her clear limits, and specifically doing what she was unconfortable with. He was immature, disrespectful and childish. I don't get why people hated her and not him, maybe because she confronted him on his BS?...

I think some people speak 'nonchalantly' about their weight loss in these terms because they've just been always aware that the reason they were fat was they ate too much/badly and moved too little. It's just the way it is for most people so why would they make a drama about something that simple?
@JingleTingleASMRАй бұрын
Facts. My initial weightloss journey started out with zero working out. All I did was drastically cut back on my calorie intake. Lost around 80lbs before I decided to start working out. But like you said, it's not the best way to lose weight especially if you want it to be sustainable cause man...my muscle mass was disappearing so fast. Booty --> GONE. Flabby belly decided to stay lol. Since then I gained almost all the weight back due to over-restriction and some traumatic life events that I struggled to cope with, so I ended up returning to overeating. I'm trying to take a more sustainable route this time around and not restrict myself so much as well as weight train regularly. It's tough as shit, but I've been practicing more positive self-talk so I don't backslide again.
@Gna_d54Ай бұрын
Lol! Didn't expect to see you talking about this. I watched the show and she was blatantly abusive but for some reason this show never calls out women abusers. It's been a rampant problem season to season where it never gets addressed on the official channels or in the reunion. She is a textbook abuser. The only reason the weight should be mentioned is because it's clear she tried to weaponize her glow up to continue to abuse the man she was matched up with on the reunion. She suddenly pretended like the real issue was that she found out he was underwhelmed by her looks (despite her insulting his on camera) and lost weight as some kind of gotcha. Now she's almost spinning it like she lost weight because he made her feel bad about herself when that never happened... and she edits her pics and videos like crazy! She's does not look like her current posts when you see her on someone else's feed.

Not the point here but just wanted to comment about the medication. Giving a medication only 2 weeks is crazy. It usually takes about 30 days to really see how they affect you. Sure….some can be pretty bad but there are many options available to mitigate weight loss medication side effects. Splitting doses, starting at a very low dose, making sure you are eating the right foods…and trying out other forms etc….

Weight loss can only enhance your personality if you put in the necessary effort and dedication. The reason is because if you have surgery or take medications, you do not experience the psychological transformation that comes from the will to discipline yourself and change your values; you miss out on finding the inner gold because you never actually face the dragons that protect it. You don't learn the habits or from the mistakes; you don't make yourself accountable; you don't push through days where you don't want to or through the tough workouts (assuming you exercise during). You're never tested or challenged, and so you never overcome yourself, meaning that you don't face the doubts and the voices that tell you to quit or eat that piece of cake because "it's just one piece" or "just one more bite." You miss out on all of the experience and, therefore, all of the lessons. You're still the person with the fat mind, and so you think, feel, and act the same way in principle. You still value the same things as you did before. So, don't be surprised if you either become fat again or you're still "toxic."

I was put on steroids for several months due to a medical need. I gained about 80lbs sans change in eating. After I got off the steroid, my body returned to its original weight. Everyone who didn't know me well asked me,'How did you do it', 'I didn't recognize you, etc.' I didn't want to explain it. So, I hemmed and hawwed as she did.

Btw Jayda hope does some great love is blind content. She’s more known as a catfish commentator, not a massive channel but kamie just shouted her out, and she’s leveling up. Great creator - she stands strong against abusers, she did a deep dive on Sedona recently, & she started as a Black Canadian history channel. now she does pop culture reactions (I keep hoping she’ll add more history vids, but I’m being economically realistic…). She def applies a lot of analysis & informed critique to popular shows, she’s def someone to add to your creator repertoire.

I get the point of exercise being a minor part of weight loss. For me, movement DEF leads to weight loss. Ex: the busy season at work is usually very sedentary, and I eat less bc of time. When workload lessens, I start functioning normally, and weight will drop quickly. Mesomorph

You know John I never got to finish watching Love is blind this season. I have followed the show for every season and usually binge it in a few days. I really did not like this cast. Something about this cast especially in their conversations in the pods just seemed really simplistic to me. I also don't like the seasons that have a lot of under 25 or around that age group. To me if the show is a matrimonial show we should have people closer to at least 29 plus. I stopped watching a few episodes in. I skimmed your show. But I knew that woman was going to have a problem in the pods. Because when the guy could not see her she was trying to project herself as being very conventionally attractive. And if you were able to see her in the pods she looks to be extremely tall and she is or was on the heavier side. She appear to be much bigger than the guy who was on the other side of the pod. She know there was going to be some insecurity about that because at some point a few episodes in she had a breakdown inside the pod saying I don't want you to think it's just all about looks etc. So she knew she was coming off is more conventionally attractive than what she actually was at that time. She just tried to come off as if she was a tiny cheerleader in the pods and that's what she had brought up. I never got to see what happened with her but I know that was going to be a problem. Whether people are on ozempic or not and this is speaking from somebody that was on the generic compounded version.. I do it too I do look at weight loss especially on like Reddit progress pics... I have not been a member of that subreddit for quite a few years and what is unusual noun is we are seeing a lot of people coming on to that sub losing 70, 80, 150 lbs daily compared to what you would do in the past. Does ozempic or semi-glutide have something to do with that? Most likely it is. I do look at those posts and I do say well most likely "ozempic" And I move on. Those people still had to watch their calories. And they still had to work out. I think we need to get over the mental situation that hey they did it in an easier way. At the end result they reach their goal. Now they're going to have to deal with keeping that body that they earned through that time without it. I don't know if it's changed in the past year. But I was told these people are supposed to be on maintenance doses for probably a year afterward. I think we just need to realize that we have now found somewhat of a cure for obesity. We also need to keep in mind how hard it is for people to actually lose the weight once they reach that 50, 100+ pounds overweight and how nearly impossible it is if you look at the data. So much to say on the topic but I'll end it here just saying that I knew white was going to be a problem for her when she got out of the pods because of how she projected herself when her body was hidden.

Reality TV is rarely real. They have scriptwriters for heaven’s sake! And I remember every time I was looking for auditions and reality TV came up, the contracts always hid in there a humiliation clause so the networks could humiliate you and wreck your digital record so that future employers, when looking you up, found the biggest moment of public humiliation you ever survived and you can’t do a d*mn thing about it, due to the contract. There were also bodily harm contracts too- the production could physically get away with not having to pay for any kind of injury you sustained on their show. I decided to never do reality tv as an actress, and it saved me so much humiliation.
