This is such a male thing, but as soon as I hear you say you don't know what you're doing with the chest press I want to give tips and advice. Even though I have no idea what I'm doing and have the same exact anxieties when it comes to doing squats or deadlifts at the gym (my goal will be to finally do that today!). I'm partially saying this to myself, to try and get outside my own comfort zone, but if you try something you're unfamiliar with or uncomfortable with at the gym you are more likely to get someone offering to help than someone judging you negatively for trying it.

Natural instinct to want to help! Thank you, I'm sure we'll both do awesome and keep doing more and more at the gym :)

Good job! But one word of advice, don't let your life be driven by what's on the scale only. A lot of people get discouraged when they start their fitness journey because their weight doesn't go down, or even go up. It is perfectly normal when you start building muscles, those are heavy, I would suggest using either progress pictures or go by the way some clothes fit to really make sure you're making progress. But still kuddos for fighting your anxiety and go to the gym :)

Hi, thank you for stopping by! My life isn't driven by the scale. I am content with how my fitness and health are going.
