A lot of time most people are too caught up with nutrition and training that they hardly take a step back and consider matters of the mind. I have just found out i've been self sabotaging myself for the longest time. I wish more people in the fitness industry could pay more attention to this aspect of health. Keep up the good work.

Wow this is me!!! Since I heard so many doctors say pcos won’t let you lose weight so I gave up and fulfilled their prophesy 😢and gained weight! Fear of failure, providing reward after a few days of exercising and losing a few pounds and procrastinate and give in! I used to be super thin all my life actually gained weight after being an adult. This video is about me 🥺thank you ❤️🌟

So many of the ideas in your videos are things I knew even decades ago, some of which led to my finally being able to make changes that have stuck and kept off 40 lbs I had gained in adulthood. I would love to think your work could save decades of pain for so many young women out there.

Basically this is the puzzle that has to be put together and once you are done (which is really the hardest part) it is smooth sailing. Which doesn't mean we don't need to work on it but it doesn't feel like an impossible struggle anymore. I guess when you guys lost weight permanently you also reached this point when all the links of the chain went green. I think I am at my last hurdle currently, which is when I find your channel. Amazing :D

thanks for a great and informative video! I agree that being out of alignment creates sabotage - when part of you wants one thing and another part of you resists it. That's how I was with my relationship with food for years. wanting to lose weight but not wanting to give up my only reward and one treat. So grateful to be free from self sabotage and my food addiction today.

wow, I really liked this. As I was listening I connected with a variety of issues, wanting to fit in with others, sadness due to family issues. Then safety as I have neighbors that freak me out and their music loud, so what do I do? I go watch TV, dumb and numb myself and start eating. But one I didn't hear you talk about is survival -- I'm rather poor so when I buy food I tend to eat it so it doesn't go to waste... I did start blending my lettuce with water and freezing which helps w smoothies, now I'll do with the fresh fruits too...

I am glad to hear the video was helpful, Lilly! There can certainly be more fears than the ones we listed. The key is to root them and ask "is this serving me toward the life I want?" Sounds like you are already doing this and taking action. That's awesome!

I have been known to assault my scales 🤣🤣🤣 Every time I'm along a new diet heading back to where I left off on my last diet, I mourn the wasted time and yearn for the weight I would already have got down to, if I'd kept that weight steady until the next effort to lose more. This time, I'm going all the way to the end, no stopping, no going back. I'm convinced 🙂

I still dont understand my body. I'm 34 and still struggling more than ever. I ve gained so much weight l, no discipline, comfort zone to eat junk especially at night, binge eating, no movement. Everytime I want to change something tells me you're selfish for trying to look after yourself. So strange. Now I cant even walk long distance cos my back bones keep rubbing causing hardship to walk naturally.
@CoachViva3 жыл бұрын
Hi Sahar, kudos on figuring out which belief is stopping you from taking care of yourself - you don't believe you deserve to take care of yourself. The next step is to look into why you have this belief? Where it started? Do the reasons still serve you?

Do you believe that every body is supposed to be at 20% body fat? Do you have evidence that people who have been heavy all their lives and who have lived with 30 to 40% body fat for years or actually healthy aiming at that body fat? I have read that gaining weight and adulthood is actually much more dangerous than having been heavy for most of one life. Do you ever recommend that people are satisfied at a higher level? This may have nothing to do with whether they deserve to be thinner or not.
@CoachViva Жыл бұрын
The 20-30% healthy range for women is just a high correlation with good medical numbers and functional fitness (sit-stand 30s test, balance, etc.) so that should you get ill or injured, especially as you age, the odds for swift and complete recovery are stacked in your favor. If you can achieve the latter two criteria, you're good regardless of BF%.
