Doug! I was getting nervous and thought you may have relapsed. I worry about drinking non alcoholic beers as it gets me back into the habit and next thing you know I’m back at the bars with toxic people. You are so strong. Changing your drinking, sleep and diet at once takes so much discipline. I don’t think you understand how many people look up to you. You are also honest

@@BobJohnson-w7tthanks Bob!! It still scares me. I’ve done a lot of damage. Ruined important relationships. It’s not worth the risk, but I do miss out on a lot of social interaction. All the people I know drink at all social functions.

If it is any consolation I would love to be 180. I am stuck at 240.

I’m in the same boat as you Doug regarding the zero beers. You kinda fall into old habits as you would with real beer by drinking 2 or 3 a night as they taste pretty good. I’ve managed to keep myself off them during the week and only drink them as a reward/ treat on a Saturday night. Friendlier on your wallet as well doing it this way as they are similarly priced to the alcoholic version.

Doug- What do you think was different about your 2016/17 loss? Seems like you were in a different head space back then. My guess is stress. You mention about being busy and not having enough time, even with the less stressful job. Maybe you need to carve more time to do more of what you love, which is focused on dropping the weight for the summer. Hope things are well. I check back in every now and then since I am also in a weight loss phase. I have been fit and I know how good it feels to be there and how bad it feels when I'm not moving back towards my goal.

I've never understood (1) Non alcoholic beers, wine or spirits (2) Fruity beers (3) AlcoPops (alcoholic lemonade etc). I do understand the alcoholic Seltzer you guys have in the US. But could be dangerous / too easy to drink!

I like that you are sharing the weight loss journey. Nice. But it seems that when things don't go wonderful, you stop posting. Please include the downside episodes and explain your path forward. That would add a lot. This guy has the right idea m.kzbin.info/www/bejne/jJXCfZarl8SCrqM&pp=ygUUZ2V0dGluZyBvdXQgb2YgYSBydXQ%3D. . take a week or two to get back on track

If ur primary goal is to lose fat, just focus on full body workout moves like squat and press, and super sets, plus cardio. If you are in caloric deficit its pointless to workout like a body builder, as in order to gain muscle mass you should be in caloric surplus. Doing dumbell curls like a body builder is a waste of time i think.
@MarkTorres-g2v13 күн бұрын
How about for muscle maintenance though? Lifting & cardio should be fine
@lev1-uk3dy13 күн бұрын
Yes that should be fine, but i was talking about something else. If you are in caloric deficit than you should focus on compound exercises and super sets for fat burning mostly. If you don't fuel your body enough than building muscle is not going to be easy, according to science, but you will still burn fat with toning your muscles a bit with those exercises plus cardio and thats the main goal for most people who has weight issues i think. But isolation moves like calf raises, sit ups, dumbell curls, flies etc. are all big waste of time when you are in deficit in my opinion.

Pains me to do this, but I think I’m gonna have to unsubscribe. My son Jacob died in prison. It was my huge wish that Doug might be able to send him a personalized message. Jacob had a lot of substance issue problems and type two diabetes and really look to doug as a mentor. My brother Joey, who passed away last year along with Jacob used to share Doug’s journey and use it as inspiration. I was hoping Jacob could share that message to other inmates. I love this community so much and it meant the world to me but as of right now it’s too painful for me to watch these videos alone. Thanks for everything you did for my family Doug. I only wish I could’ve gotten in touch with you about sending a message to Jacob. I would’ve paid you. 😢

Why are you posting this on every video? Just unsubscribe. Nobody owes you anything.

I hope you subscribe again and come back to the community when you are ready RIP Jacob
