I remember when I started my weight loss in May I watched your original video about weight loss. At the time I was 170lbs (77.1 kilos) and felt so bad about my appearance and body. Six months later I have lost 50 pounds (22.6 kilos) and I feel like a different person. I thank you so much for the much needed guidance at a time when I was just beginning my weight loss. And to anyone who is struggling with weight loss... YOU CAN DO IT!!! It's amazing what we can do when we take control.

I've lost 20kg(44lbs) in about 6 months and have been maintaining my weight for about 4 months now .I started with HIIT/strength training(free FitnessBlender videos at home) for~ 30min but the thing that helped me the most is counting calories with MFP and sticking to 1500kcal/day of pretty much whatever I wanted, mostly lean meats and veggies and lots of spices. If it's one thing I learned is you can't outrun your fork.

@balifitzpatrick53517 жыл бұрын
Quixotic Yep. Take those diet sodas for example. Most, such as diet coke, contain the sweetener aspartame which some studies have shown cause cancer in rats. You can easily be a skinny person with bad health.
@quixotic74607 жыл бұрын
Bali Fitzpatrick Those studies you refer to have long been discounted by every credible scientific institution due to methodological flaws and issues with transparency. That's why aspartame is still approved for use in human foods everywhere in the world. Look it up, it's been tested extensively and none of the credible scientific institutions think aspartame links to cancer.
@quixotic74607 жыл бұрын
CarlosJuanSanchez Doesn't mean its bad either though. The point is there's really no evidence its bad outside of a study that's been disavowed by the scientific community and a bunch of paseudoscience websites from people who like to peddle health scare conspiracy theories about food. It's up to you what you want to believe, but personally, I'd rather go with the science.

HOPE YOU WILL READ THIS !!! Diana, i genuily and truly love you. I sent you a msg on IG weeks ago don't know if you still remember me, let's tell the world how you changed my life.. back in march 2016 i watched your videos 'bout weight loss journey/ motivation /life styl and so on, i was so depressed 'cause of the way i looked and what i was living at that time, ANYWAYS.. you changed my way of thinking, and it changed the way i'm living. started from just walking to biking for 90 min to working out with weights, practicing yoga, eating natural and good food, being positive and believing in myself, focusing on ME. yea since that time, i lost about 13 kg... and i'm so proud of me. i made a lot of mistakes, but learned from them! however lately for some reasons i started gaining weight out of stress and overthinking ( bout 2 kg) and your video came timely... i'm reorganizing my workout routine and my alimentation ! Much love ! PS: wrote this before watching the actual video HAHAH xD !

Dear Diana, I've been following you for so long I feel I can speak you as a friend. I do think you put so much commitment in every choice you make that you never have to be scared about going back to the initial weight you started with. That said, at the moment you are not fat at all. At all. If you need so much effort to maintain a certain weight, maybe that is not yours. Maybe a slightly different aim would make everything easier. When you have your ideal weight your body should waver a couple of kg during a month. My suggestion is to aim at a less thin shape and keep on eating well and in a certain quantity in order to keep your metabolism high and active. And yes, work out is key but every day is fine now, that you're young, but will damage your ligaments and consume your cartilage in ten years. I know you're not unprepared but please interchange your sessions with simple stretching (only stretching) workouts. This is only my humble opinion obviously. Based on my experience as a 37years old woman, mother and dancer. 😘

Hi Diana! I have been a fan of your for a very long time and you are one of my favorite youtubers. In a way, I cannot help but feel that so much of your sense of identity is tied to your weight. I don't mean this in any bad way and I am sure it is completely logical, after all the changes you were able to make for your lifestyle have changed your self esteem and I can only admire you for this. But I am a bit sad because you seem a bit sad when you say you have gained weight. :( and you are such a beautiful person, inside and outside. A few KGs that can come also due to metabolism (we all know it's different losing weight at 18-19 than when you approach 25) and you can barely see them anyway (i don;t). You are really beautiful and smart and kind and I hope you never forget that.

wait a minute.... the sane ones DONT push you to stuff yourselves. they say "eat as much as you want" --> dont restrict, it doesn't mean that you SHOULD eat 1500 kcal more than you need, but it means that you should as much as you feel like you NEED. stuffing yourself is a wrong message and not all people in the vegan community say that

Kai Naito i think there's a huge difference to eating what you want mentally and physically. i did the eating what i wanted, whenever i wanted mentally (so beyond my physical hunger) for about 10 months, i feel like my body needed that. after that obsession faded away and now i still eat whatever i want, whenever i want, just automatically in normal amounts cause my body trusts me again. i think she's saying it for recovery-reasons, for people with a past of restriction. a lot of people need that recovery phase just to get to a normal eating pattern
@Bluey12527 жыл бұрын
A. It's just worrisome for those with eating disorders with that of restriction to suddenly eat so so much. I'm just scared they'll develop another eating disorder, a binge eating one.

For example my friend is on high fat vegan diet and her weight is perfect finally. But people - skip that dairy please :c meat is also not good for you, but dairy is the worst
@nastigyal1527 жыл бұрын
you eat a lot of products that contain good fats - nuts, seeds, avocados, olives, good oils like olive oil or lineseeds oil... etc :) More than you would normally eat to get your calorie intake from that source, not from carbs for example. For some people it works better than high carb.

I also gaines some weight, like 5 pounds in 1 month and I'm having a really hard time trying to get rid of it... I guess it's because I recently started working and I eat too fast in my brake and lunch time :(

thank you Diana, very similar experiences on my side - these days a big struggle but I'll get where I belong - for the sixth time or so and being careful will stay there for good :p discipline - a dearly forgotten friend of mine at times ;)

This is amazing! I love your videos :) The only thing about the brown rice though, is that it contains higher levels of arsenic :P

Very good advice. I was trying low carb this week, because I kept hearing how satisfying it is, how you dont have to be hungry, etc.. Girl, its not true. Its NOT satisfying. Its a weird feeling to have eaten a big chunk of protein, salad and oil. I still feel hungry afterwards, and not satisfied. My preferences probably come into play too, as I found it very uncomfortable/gag worthy to have to eat only the things I dont like that much: meat and vegetables. It wouldnt work long term for me at all.

Liz Torres see it worked for me, kept me full kept me happy, no heart burn. I was able to exercise better. Depends on your body. The biggest problem for me with low carb high fat is that salad is fucking expensive. A bowl of rice and one vegetable is soon much cheaper than a salad. I just couldn't afford it. Buying vegetables and fish is just so expensive. Eating healthy is expensive

I guess different things work for different people.

Liz Torres yeah different for different people. if healthy food was cheaper, no one would be unhealthy

@mm77curly7 жыл бұрын
fulla fulla when you starve yourself you're being counterproductive. your body starts storing fat because it is starving. eat portioned meals with a balance of fruits, veggies, carbs, and proteins. you don't necessarily have to limit the foods you eat to lose weight. as long as you're doing enough exercise to burn the calories.

mm77curly thank you but I don't like veggies and I don't know what to eat !

I'm not an expert, but I've read that doing hiit every day isn't really healthy for you. 3-4 times a week max is more than enough
@easyNeon7 жыл бұрын
it's not, especially for beginners, but if i do it one week and ten the next week i do weight lifting and cardio, it works xx

Hi, You said you did 20 min of cardio after you do HIIT - can you give some examples of what you usually do for the extra cardio? Also, for anyone looking for motivating workouts: looks up Shelly Dose here on KZbin. She's crazy and I like how she puts music on her videos - FitnessBlender is too depressing and silent for me.

Either Romanian or Russian depending on what region in Moldova she is from. Doesn't really sound like a Russian accent for me, so I suppose it's Romanian.

Hey Diana. Thank you for making this video. I know you're not a professional but I have some questions. When you were overweight was it because you didn't have any self control? That's what I struggle with and it's destroying me. I don't know what to do anymore. Please let me know if you have any suggestions on what I should do or you think might help? I really want/need to lose weight, I'm very unhealthy.

id recommend not getting too into calorie counting apps like MyFitnessPal. dont get me wrong, knowing how many calories youre eating is important, and MyFitnessPal is extremely useful bc you know how many calories/carbs/protein/fat/etc is in each food, it's good for portion sizes, and is an excellent starting point. but (and i speak from personal experience) you start to get obsessed with numbers and percentages and tracking exactly how much you eat, and that sort of attention and stress isnt healthy. for me it got to the point where i would plan out what i eat for the whole day to try to get the exact carb:protein:fat ratio.

Hi Diana! I was wondering- did you start off being completely vegan, then ease your way into eating sea food or did you always do so? I have been vegan for a year, but am thinking of going back to sea food as well. Can you talk about that? :D

I have a question. I eat a lot of Asian food and I don't particularly think they're healthy, (lots of rice and seasoning in food), and still try to eat something nutritional couple times a week (like a chicken salad) but I don't eat anything fast food nor junk food, but I feel that I retain a lot of weight. Any suggestions to combat this?
