Weight reduction off the blade? Are you serious? It definitely ruined the punch of the bat as you shaved at least 5mm off the blade and it will definitely lost the impact of pressing which is only 3mm to 5mm on the blade. Btw weight reduction is always from the back not from the blade.

You should never reduce weight by shaving the pressed surface. It should be taken from the back. You may well have ruined this particular bat unless pressed again.
