I picked up the 45-175 back in 2012/13 it's equally light but with 46mm thread. It's my most used travel lens and everyday walkabout. I've never felt the image quality lacking; my copy is tack sharp throughout its range. Why I like this over the 40-150 is the fact that it's an internal power zoom, so good for video too. If it ever broke I'd get another in a heartbeat.

I only used micro 43 camera (GH5) for video. I came from full frame Nikon DSLR to apsc Fujifilm Xt3. I am a hybrid shooter so the Xt3 was my perfect camera until I started travelling with a baby and oh boy the lenses are heavy!! I found a used Olympus EM1 Mark II and bought a 15mm 1.7 Pana Leica lens. I was blown away!!! I never knew how m43 camera can give me this wonderful images. I used my GH5 for photos before but I wasn't a fan. But the Olympus with a pana leica lens is amazing. Now I saw this video, I am in search of a cheap telephoto. I coudn't believe people are not getting into the micro 43 game. It is life changing and I can bring these small and cheap lenses everywhere without breaking the bank and my back. No pun intended!!! Thank you for this video. :)

Wow those photo samples were fabulous! This lens was bundled with my GX85 along with the 12-32mm. The photos you took has inspired me to try using this lens more.

Wow! Owning many brands cameras and lenses and not mastering a one, I found the Lunix. Olympus lenses are interchangeable. Also, I’m older so weight has become an issue. I bought the Panasonic G9 because of my love for birds and it was affordable. Of the many KZbin info, I have finally found someone who make sense. Thank you Mr. Bannor. Look forward to your videos.

Thanks for this. I got my 45-150 around 2014 and have always been amazed at the quality of such a small, inexpensive lens. I've been tempted by the Panasonic-Leica 50-200mm 2.8-4 lens but not sure it is worth it considering the size/wt difference! Thanks for the great photos also.

It is an amazing lens for the price and size. I also have the 100-300 but that 50-200 occasionally tempts me. However, I recently bought Topaz Photo AI and it does a really good job sharpening, usually without artifacts. I'm thinking of doing a video on it.

@@ToddBannor Definitely would be interested in a video on Topaz Photo AI if you do one. Thanks again!

Todd, just curious if you have tried the lumix 45-200 mark II lens? Weather sealed and more reach so I'm considering it. Thanks

I haven’t tried this lens. There seem to be decent reviews on it. But it also seems to have been discontinued.

@@ToddBannor Thanks. I just ordered a used copy.... we shall see. A lot cheaper than the P-L 50-200 (though a stop slower)
