I think a 5 litre diving bottle costs about £175 at today’s prices . As they last 5 years before having to be retested that works out to be £35 per annum or 67 pence per week according to my maths , quite expensive 😂

Good to see that you are reviewing a 'real air rifle' for a nice change. 😄 I own an HW50S in .177 and it is ( in my opinion ) a superb air rifle and as I shoot merely for R&R I am quite pleased with it's performance. Here in Canada this one would cost approximately 900 CDN$ or 501 Pounds Sterling ( as of this moment in currency conversion ) so it's is not a low cost or budget friendly rifle. Then again, any sport or hobby will cost some money so, enjoy it at your budget level. I do hope you do come back to spring type air rifles again soon. Thanks for your efforts on this one Lancs.

Always Great to see a springer..I always get best results shooting of hand when that hand is rested on a bag/trigger sticks/gate/tree whatever ..they're very unforgiving of sloppy technique or inconsistencies but that's why I love them they keep your skills sharp👍👍

I agree. After watching ( one of the last so far ) of The Weaponised Hippie, I started to shoot as much as possible using no rests, just alog or box to rest left leg on. I do think most springers or gas rams prefer all hands on. All the best to all from across the Channel. Keith

That's not a springer, that's a Weihrauch. An item of not only beauty and function, but the epitome of perfection. Wiehrauch. Nothing more needs to be said!
@IjusthopeitsquickАй бұрын
They have good barrels but I have found that their recent rifles (2000s onwards) need the cylinders re-polishing and the cocking slot de-burred, excess grease removed and proper lubricants applied. The stock HW30 spring bends with use, giving the impression that the rifle "smooths out", whereas in reality it's just an improperly tempered spring. The factory cuts corners on these details to reduce the man-hours expended on the "invisible" components of their rifles.
