An amazing story, my Dads family as in not very distant ancestors were Jacobites both in the earlier uprising & the 45. Interestingly he also had Spanish blood & this was as a result, indirectly of the aftermath of the Battle of Glen Shiel, some of the Spanish escaped with some of the Scottish jacobites & the dates of one of my distant Grand fathers fall in2 that very time, we have no other Spanish ancestry. After the 45 that side of my family fled south to escape repression.
