"Signal" from Twice is definitely a song I needed a few listens before I could fully wrap my head around how weird it was. But it's also a total bop and I love the cute choreo so much!

Funfact, because Twice debuted in October, the original concept of the group is Halloween theme. That's why if you check ot their early stuff, they had like diffrent halloween theme like zombies, alien, dressing up as movie/ cartoon characthers, or even the whole twicecoaster lane lore.

The way I interpret the M/V is basically they are trying to impress someone by sending signals but that someone is not responding they want to (its like talking to someone who doesn't understand you or dont speak the same language) hence its like talking to an Alien 😅

speaking of empty space in songs you should check out the Twice song "Hello". The emptiness and bass are so minimal and masterful. It's a very under appreciated song.

Proud to say i loved this when it dropped lmao to this day this song has one of my favorite choreos from TWICE. As some have pointed out - although she took part in some of the dancing - Jihyo was sitting here and there due to her surgery, as seen with the car scene and at 23:47 where you can see her sitting way up on the stairs. Also at 22:04 idk if you noticed - or if others have pointed it out - but on the right you can see someone sporting Dahyun's Cheer Up MV look (the person behind w the guns is dress as Jeongmohyo's scene i think) and right after you can see the Cheer Up cameraperson on the left

I love this song because it's fun and the message is great, though not many will agree. If I had it right, it was Sana who was enthusiastically excited when this came out. This song wasn't received well at first but little do they know, it won them many music show awards. It's good that you mentioned the choreography too, you definitely should check one out. Apart from it being a fun dance, it also gave ONCEs a laugh because of how Tzuyu tends to close her eyes at the beginning because the girls are making faces at her. 😂

I liked it first thing BUT there may be a difference; I only found the song with the MV, I did not hear it before watching the MV. Hearing it on the radio first and wondering about it just as music might have been different. We will never know.
