As someone who works in injection molding I love @trashpandadiscgolf talking about molding. Also for the lip on the Titleist disc, that lip could be an undercut that the ejector pins push right over depending on the flexibility of the plastic and the temperature at which they eject. Or it could be an action in the tool similar to making bottle caps, although unlikely because of the cost to build a tool like that.

9:11 one of these youtube disc golf channels talked about that disc - I think the ribs on the inside are for grip when doing a turboputt-like throw, placing your hand on the inside, and those ribs help you give it spin

you turbo putt with your fingers on the outside and there is a disc with grooves on the outside for turbo putting

As someone who is working in the injectionmolding industy, i can say that those things inside the rim of that one putter have nothing to do with making the manufacutring process easier. Actually i'd say it makes it kinda harder to manufacute a mold for that disc. So from that perspective it makes absoultely no sense aswell. And for Brodies Point with the extra plastic in the molding, that they just did not remove, i can say there is no extra plastic when producing a disc, that would be just an unnecessary step in the manufacturin process, what would make everything more expensive and probably would produce a bit rougher surface at the inside of the rim, making the disc a bit more uncomfortable to grip. So from my point of view, its just a stupid idea from someone who knows nothing about discgolf, aerodynamics and injectionmolding.

So does no one throw the loft bohrium on forehand? Brodie mentions it's the stupidest idea with a rounded rim but it's my furthest flying forehand by probably 40-50ft. Felt weird at first but it comes out so incredibly fast.

But.....;rolling up or 'tacoing' the disc is now illegal (actually it's always been illegal, but Matt Bell was never called on it). The PDGA updated the rules to make it clear that you can't do that.
