I had a chemistry set as a kid that had toxic chemicals. You could make stink bombs with it that were horrendous. I also remember mixing all of the chemicals that had a "poison" label together in a test tube and then putting it over the Bunsen burner to see what happened. It made a dark purple/brown gel that melted action figures. In hindsight, I'm probably lucky I survived the 80's with all the crap I got up to as a kid.

Wow, one of the people I know someone had a similar experience. My (old) science teacher got these kits with a bunch of dangerous chemicals and plain ones with baking soda. So then he mixed all of them together with a bunch of random drinks like beer (yes, i know) and sugar. It actually made a small explosion, I mean, any kid once had the idea of mixing kits together but partially blowing up your driveway is not a good idea.

@@reptile1677 It could have been anything. I had an old chemistry set when I was a kid as well. I did the same thing as above, but added as much 'cool stuff' as I could find around our cellar, which included things like brake fluid . It started bubbling and smelt really bad so I left the area, aghast at whomever had been so stupid as to do such a reckless thing. On my return, the test tube was empty apart from some colourful dry residue, but more impressively it had slumped in the rack due to melting in a ring around the original bubbling area. Memorable and useful 'at home' Science.

When I was very young, both of my parents worked full time. A woman took care of me during the day, we were not related but I still called her Grandma Alice. She used to buy me Beetlejuice and Ghostbusters toys all the time. She also bought me my SNES and my copy of Secret Of Mana... Bless her. She died a few years back, and seeing those action figures made me smile. Thanks, Ashens.

And make the figures random, and make some marketing thing so you'd have to find Fakor. And if you did, you'd get a prize, like cool accessories for your figures (basically, a buncha molded plastic! This was really interesting. Those Masters of the Universe where the only ones in my collection. Also I don't recall those smelling dogs and corpses lol, but I do remember having a transparent figure with his guts floating in water inside him. Smelled weirded too. Was it a villain in 80's TMNT toys, I'm not sure. Need to picture it in my head more clearly... Another strange toy line was madballs. 😂

As a kid, I never really understood the fascination with toys that 'do' stuff. (Actually, I still don't.) You could say me an my sister were huge imagination freaks, and we were very easily satisfied with a simple doll or plushie. Or even a puppet we just made out of paper.... The white dust on the dog breath toy is the rubber slowly rotating and brakeing down. It also happens to a lot of plastic action figures even if the package has never been opened. As far as I understand, it comes from the rubber being kind of on the cheaper side. I have seen carded ninja turtles figures with plastic limbs also covered in that white dust. I can't confirm any of the above is true because it's just what I have heard. Also, the dog breath card back looks like it was water damaged.

I owned Victor Vomit and I can testify to how strong the smell was. I brought it to elementary school and it stank up the entire 4th grade wing from inside my locker! I had that first figure! I also had this thing which was like a acid pit in a dungeon that came with a skeleton and two powders you mix. One was used to make playdoh like stuff that you molded to the skeleton. And one made a liquid that was corrosive to it. You dropped the molded figure into the acid pit and watched it melt the flesh. Never thought much about it until seeing your Terminator Salvation mold toy video. Thinking back, man that was a gruesome toy.

I had that exact beatlejuice figures as a kid, I used to think his spikey bits coming out his head looked like a sideways mohawk. The one that reveals a tiny head is taken from the bit when beatlejuice gets his head shrunk.
