my brother and i had the pink celestia that came with the tiny luna when we were little!! :D formative experience, i still consider those toys to be their younger color palette, and alicorn magic + age (rapid aging in luna's case) changed them :3

i remember the pony toys with the plastic modeled on hair were on store bought birthday cakes, specifically only apple jack and twilight were. i had multiple cus of the amount of mlp themed birthdays i had growing up

There's something about weird/obscure g4 merchandise that just scratches an itch in my brain. Like the pop figures, Pinkie Pie's Boutique, the squishy pop things, and the stupid plushes with the noodle hair, omg.

Still have that big talking pink Celestia. I don't remember how I got it, but I remember not initially wanting it because she was pink and not white! Little me was LIVID. But I got her. Never used the cutie mark mechanic because I didn't like that she spoke. Had to use that as my Celestia when playing for a long time until I got my white one.

I have both the small plastic hair Celestia and the big talking Celestia, and I adore the talking Pinklestia, just because of how inaccurate she is! “I’M A PRINCESS - ARE YOU A PRINCESS TOO?!” I also have the Celestia that came with the EG doll, bought her from UK PonyCon. My main Celestia is from the earlier Explore Equestria line though. Whilst it sucks that merch-only characters were literally just that, never appearing in the show, the advantage will always be the creativity that comes with them, the freedom to create backstories/character traits, and I really like that. For the record, I also love Princess Gold Lily’s design, very vibrant. I agree that G4 was much more interesting when there was a greater variety of characters available, not to mention the sheer number of different ranges in which you could get these ponies. That was definitely one of the big mistakes made with G5. Ehilst the Pony Mania designs are creative, it’s a shame that this was the only way you could get a brushable of Roseluck, and it would’ve been amazing to have a plain Roseluck to go with Lily Valley & Flower Wishes. IT’S A CREEPY VLOG … WITH ME, CREEPY TWILIGHT!! Why are plushies made by third-party manufacturers so much more accurate than those made directly by Hasbro?! I used to have a second-hand styling head Twilight that I found in a charity shop, and even secon-hand her hair was definitely not brushable! It was gravity-defiant! 😂 Late last year I bought one of the Might Jaxx Hidden Dissectibles from H,V, I knew what it was … but didn’t realise that the Twilight I got would also have visited internal organs! She’s the weirdest piece of MLP merch I own, BY A WIDE, WIDE MARGIN!! 😂

There was a G3 My Little Pony figurine made out of Sterling Silver that comes with a box. They seem to be very rare and may cost thousands of dollars if not tens of thousands. Also that display in Russia is most likely long gone now due to time and…you know what

Yeah purple Luna irked me to no end aswell. She is my favorite character of mlp and thats not how she looks. Thats why I couldn’t pass on the build-a-bear plushie which I still have today. I just think its a shame that you couldn’t get her actual series accurate Accessoires like her black tiara and necklace. Also if I remember correctly the creepy Twilight and Rainbow Dash plushies were pillows, so yeah, I think they are indeed super soft

I have most of those, not the G5 playset though, I've never seen that! I've never seen the lifesize figures either. I want them! I wonder where they are, probably in the storeroom of a toy store in Moscow. I am lucky enough to remember buying all gens of ponys in store - G1s from Toys R Us, G2 in Woolworths, G3 and G3.5 in Argos and Tescos, and the rush to buy the ones I didn't have when we heard the line was coming to an end. Then unexpectedly G4s came out, and trying to find all of those was so exciting! The later ones I really haven't kept out with as I just don't like them as much. I love the film but the toys are kind of meh. Now however I am starting to change my mind again and am picking them up as I see them.

What’s funny is that I had the old princess celestia and Luna but I always wanted big Luna and white princess celestia with hair but where I lived there weren’t any , I saw them once’s when I was on vacation, I was soo little and I remember they had the crystal set with pinkie and Luna but my mom said we should get a different one instead , and that was twilight and a pink Pegasus with a crown smh cutie mark. I remember playing with them while I was watching the first 2 episodes on dvd 😄. also my mom always knew what section off the store I would be looking 😅

omg those eg statues.. So there was also a big celestia statue and some other ponies of that sort too. But when mlp merch wasn’t around anymore they’ve been sold somewhere probably. I believe I’ve seen Celestia statue and Rarity eg on some mlp collector‘s photos. So it’s kind of an expected situation. But where are the rest is kind of a mystery. Just wanted to share 🙏 Those are very nostalgic ngl, though they looked a bit cursed in real life 💗💗💗

Damn it’s so surreal, but I actually SAW them (statues) IRL long time ago (probably 2013) Not gonna lie, I thought back then that it’s a bit creepy) Sadly, that store (Hamleys - it’s like a gigantic toy store in centre of Moscow) is now closed 😢
