So I kind to explain some stuff from that video : 1. Lathi is from Javanese language some Indonesian traditional language it means tongue or words .In the reff we can hear the lyric "Kowe ra iso mlayu saka kesalahan, ajining diri ana ing lathi" it means "You can't run from mistakes, a person selfesteem comes form his words". The sentence is a Javanese proverb. 2. There so many kind of Javanese culture on that video . You can see a man riding horse that called "Kuda Lumping", a man who eating some glass and blowing fire that called " "Debus", a woman who dance that called "Jaipong Dance" and some kind like a doll there is called "Wayang" 3. This group has been formed since 2016 and released their first song in the same year as the DPS title. LATHI is an ode to the sounds of Java, and it features singer and rapper from Surabaya, Sara Fajira. The lyrics of this song speak of a love relationship full of lies and egos that ‘says’ love but only hurts. Despite exploring the dark side of a relationship, upbeat music and honest lyrics bring the meaning of courage and a strong will in the face of ‘a toxic relationship'. You see those guys riding flat horses. Kuda Lumping is a traditional East Javanese dance. The dance portrays soldiers riding horses to the war. This dance originated from the war against the Dutch colonial forces as Indonesia was their colony. There are different type of performances in Kuda Lumping, and some include trances and magic tricks. That’s where you see the guy eating glass/bulb, blowing fire and eating fire, etc. Wayang kulit is a traditional form of puppet-shadow play originally found in the cultures of Java, Bali, and Lombok in Indonesia. In a wayang kulit performance, the puppet figures are rear-projected on a taut linen screen with a coconut-oil (or electric) light. This performance will include: As you see in video, there is this person holding a puppet like, he’s called Dalang. The dalang (puppeteer) manipulates carved leather figures between the lamp and the screen to bring the shadows to life. It's mainly about good vs evil. The gamelan orchestra is an integral part of the Javanese wayang kulit performance, and The musicians sit behind the dalang. The performance is accompanied by female singers (pesinden) and she might also dancing. You see in the video where the lady with traditional Javanese outfit dances, that’s pesinden.
